5 ways WWE could rebuild SmackDown

Enter ca
Fix it now!

When the brand extension first happened, SmackDown was the show to watch. Now, it isn't even worth watching anymore. WWE found ways to make it different from RAW and they did well at first. Having Mauro Ranallo as the voice of SmackDown was a fantastic choice. Having two good guy general managers helped them stand out instead of being the exact same from RAW. Now they have Shane as the face and Daniel as the heel and it's the usual back and forth bickering. It is annoying.

SmackDown was named the land of opportunity. Considering Jinder Mahal was world champ last year, that name was true. Also pushing Shane McMahon as a serious competitor is a bad move. SmackDown sadly is back to the B-show again.

SmackDown being the better show is now a distant memory. Let's see some ways WWE can fix the SmackDown brand.

#5 Live up to the premise

En
Land of Opportunity? Act like it then.

SmackDown has been called 'The Land of Opportunity'. A nickname they lived up to really well until the last few months. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were really enjoyable, but unless they are going to win the WWE Title, stop giving them title opportunities. Push someone new like Shinsuke Nakamura.

Every television show, especially weekly shows, need something to keep viewers coming back every week. The writers for SmackDown are not getting the job done. We are definitely looking at you Road Dogg. WWE can book opportunity battle royals for the Women's division. The SmackDown Women's division really needs some help.

Book better storylines with different talent instead of the same five people every week. WWE can book one-off matches between underused talent. Put them in a prime spot on PPVs or main events for a SmackDown episode. It's something different.
