In the past few weeks, WWE has been trying to break away from the norm and introduce some different aspects and angles in storylines to make them more interesting and entertaining for the fans. This could be a direct result of having Paul Heyman take the reins of Raw while giving the reins of SmackDown to Eric Bishoff.

In the past few weeks, we have seen Bray Wyatt’s new character disturb many legendary superstars’ minds and also lay out Finn Balor. On the other hand, a mystery storyline involving Roman Reigns has kept fans active on social media as they try to figure out who his mystery attacker could be.

Amid all this, there are many ways WWE could continue to stun their fans and keep them glued to their screens on Raw and SmackDown this week. In this article, we will look at 5 such ways and how they could impact the storylines and superstars going forward.

#5 Make Kevin Owens the champion

Kevin Owens is set to take on Elias in the first round of the King of the Ring tournament. While their focus will be on the bigger prize, which is to be crowned the King of the Ring, the two men have much more to battle over at this point.

Elias has been on Shane McMahon’s side since moving to SmackDown Live, and could well receive some benefits for his services to the authority.

However, Elias is currently also holding the 24/7 Championship, which he won after pinning R-Truth. This could give Kevin Owens an added advantage and focus, as he’d want to not only defeat Elias to progress in the tournament, but also take away the title from him.

WWE could make the game for the 24/7 Championship more interesting by allowed Owens to deliver a stunner to Elias and pin him to progress in the tournament and then stunning The Drifter again to strip him off his championship belt.

Owens could add much more flavor and entertainment to the 24/7 Championship drama as compared to Elias.
