The Elimination Chamber has changed the careers of all that have entered it. What has happened to some of the past winners today?

The Elimination Chamber has provided fans with some remarkable matches and incredible memories, no matter who has stepped inside that cold and unforgiving structure. Unlike a typical steel cage or a Hell in a Cell, the Elimination Chamber involves six participants vying to capture a championship, and also withstand the punishment they face in the contest. Over the years, the titles on the line have included the WWE and World championship, not to mention the Intercontinental and tag team championships.

Since the chamber's inception, a number of hall of Famers have won the matchup, including Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Today, a number of past winners are busy seeking acclaim outside the ring, though not necessary away from the business. Whether they are involved behind the scenes or working independently, they still remain passionate about the business to which they gave themselves. Who were they and where are they today? Here are five former WWE Elimination chamber winners, and where they are now.

Ryback has been quite active since departing the WWE.

In the 2015 Elimination Chamber match, Ryback defeated Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, Mark Henry, R-Truth and King Barrett to capture the then-vacant Intercontinental champion. The event took place in what was a WWE Network exclusive event, making it rather special. The match came about because Daniel Bryan had to relinquish his championship because he wouldn't be able to compete for some time due to a medical issue.

The matchup involved a number of notable former champions, making the booking interesting, as they all pursued the vacant title. Unlike previous matches, the odds weren't stacked against any one person. Ryback was booked well in this match and deserved his run as the Intercontinental champion. Today, Ryback is actively involved on the independent scene, recognized for his past accomplishments and having memorable feuds with the likes of John Cena and CM Punk. He also has his own podcast and has started a nutrition consulting business.
