5 WWE ex-wives that could spice up current storylines
One of the things that is equally great and frustrating about WWE is that they have a tendency to think completely outside the box. Whether it’s putting a title on a complete randomer or coming up with a bizarre gimmick, Vinnie Mac knows how to get the dirt sheets talking and has been doing so for well over three decades now.
So why not capitalise on that idea and take things back to the old days?
By this, we, of course, mean having the ex-wives of certain Superstars re-appear on WWE television to give certain storylines a boost in terms of interest levels. Sure it would be incredibly risky, especially with a few of the names on this list, but you can’t deny that it would draw ratings.
Things like this would add an increased sense of realism to the product, and god knows WWE has been lacking that over the last decade or so. They’ve done well with things like the mixed tag feud heading into WrestleMania 33, but they haven’t really done anything to expand on that as of yet.
Could this be an idea that shocks everyone and actually ends up being decent? Probably not, but let’s give it a go. So without further ado, here are five WWE ex-wives that could spice up current storylines.
#1 Torrie Wilson
This one might be considered “cheating” considering Torrie’s ex-husband is Billy Kidman, but the guy is still with the company so let’s just go with it. Torrie hasn’t been seen in the company for years now and it’s about time that we saw a return, especially when you consider how over she was back in the Attitude Era.
You could have her heel things up by demanding a featured spot on the weekly product, with officials having to come out and take her backstage – including ex-husband Kidman. You could build this into the Welcoming Committee storyline, with Natalya and co deciding to take Torrie under their wing as the protected veteran.
This next one could cause some controversy.
