5 WWE SmackDown Superstars who must end Logan Paul's U.S. Title reign instead of Cody Rhodes
During a recent episode of SmackDown, GM Nick Aldis revealed that Cody Rhodes' next challenger for his WWE Championship will be current United States Champion Logan Paul. Rhodes and Paul will main event the King and Queen of the Ring event in a Champion vs. Champion match where the winner will walk away with all the gold.
Cody Rhodes "finished his story" at WrestleMania when he beat Roman Reigns, and now he is writing a new story in his championship journey. Logan Paul has his own story as well, and the next chapter includes a meeting with the WWE Champion. Cody might not be the best option to take the U.S. Title from the Maverick. Here is our list of 5 WWE Superstars who must end Logan Paul's U.S. Title reign instead of Cody Rhodes.
#5. 3-time WWE United States Champion Kevin Owens
After years of dominating the independent wrestling scene, Kevin Owens signed with WWE in 2014. He started with NXT and immediately became a title contender and soon after won the NXT Championship. K.O. has enjoyed massive success on the NXT roster, as well as the main roster. He has captured multiple titles en route to becoming a Grand Slam Champion.
Kevin Owens has a history with Logan Paul, which culminated with a triple-threat match at WrestleMania 40. Despite not winning the match, Owens is still in the title picture. Lately, Kevin has had to deal with nagging issues with The Bloodline. K.O. and Randy Orton lost to Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga at Backlash in a Tag Team Street Fight. Kevin can now redirect his attention towards Logan Paul and reignite his desire to capture the United States Championship.
#4. Former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley
Bobby Lashley is no stranger to the United States Title. His first U.S. Championship reign came in 2006 when he defeated JBL for the title during an episode of SmackDown. He has held the title 3 times and other championships, including the WWE Championship.
At 47 years old, Bobby Lashley is likely near the end of his professional wrestling career. With that said, he is still competing at the highest level and providing the WWE Universe with top-tier entertainment consistently. He is currently leading The Pride stable, which includes The Street Profits and B-Fab. Adding another U.S. Title reign to his list of accomplishments would only help elevate The Pride's status within the company.
#3. 2024 WWE Breakout Superstar of the Year LA Knight
LA Knight signed with WWE in 2021, after spending the previous several years with NWA and TNA/IMPACT. He made a name for himself as Eli Drake before debuting as LA Knight in NXT. Since making his main roster debut, Knight has exploded in popularity and has become one of the biggest fan favorites on the roster.
Knight was recently eliminated from the King of the Ring Tournament after losing to Tama Tonga on the latest episode of SmackDown. This loss put his creative future wide open, and now he can focus on what's next for his career. A showdown with Logan Paul appears imminent as the two met backstage on SmackDown for a brief teaser of things to possibly come.
#2. 14-time WWE Champion Randy Orton
WrestleMania 40 was arguably one of the most exciting and entertaining 'Manias ever. Not only did Cody Rhodes and The Bloodline complete an incredible story, but Randy Orton and Kevin Owens made valiant efforts to take the U.S. Title from Logan Paul. Despite not winning the championship, Orton has proven he's capable of not only getting even but getting ahead, and if Logan gives him another shot, The Legend Killer could very well become a 2-time United States Champion.
Throughout his legendary career, Randy Orton has always come out on top. He's known as The Viper for a reason, and that's because he strikes when someone least expects it. Logan Paul has his focus on Cody Rhodes for now, but when this chapter is over, fans can rest assured Orton will probably come looking for vengeance.
#1. Newly appointed Head of the Table Solo Sikoa
The WWE Universe should have noticed a subtle change in Solo Sikoa's demeanor in recent weeks. The once-silent muscle of The Bloodline has suddenly developed a level of charisma that he's never shown before. Solo has stepped into his new role as the temporary Head of the Table perfectly and is leading the charge with Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa by his side.
Solo Sikoa signed with WWE in mid-2021 and after a short stint in NXT, he made his main roster debut at Clash at the Castle, helping Roman Reigns retain his title in the main event. Solo has been the pitbull for The Bloodline, but his new responsibilities have elevated his status within the company. No one in The Bloodline is currently holding a title. Sikoa could go after Logan Paul and bring the United States Championship to the stable.
