5 WWE stars with the most Hell In A Cell losses
Hell in a Cell has provided WWE fans with more memorable moments than any other match type in recent years.
Whether it’s Mankind being thrown off the cell or Shane McMahon jumping 20ft through an announce table, the chances are you remember it, and perhaps you even know where you were when it happened.
The Undertaker leads the way with the most victories (8) in Hell in a Cell matches over the years, but which superstars have suffered the most defeats?
#1 Triple H — 6 wins, 3 losses
It seems unfair to include a superstar on a list about defeats when he’s actually won twice as many of these matches than he’s won, so apologies to “The Game” if he's reading.
Triple H has won six of his nine battles inside Hell in a Cell, defeating Cactus Jack, Chris Jericho, Kevin Nash and Shawn Michaels in singles matches, and the McMahons/Big Show and Legacy in tornado tag matches as part of DX.
However, he’s also lost on three occasions in the structure. His first defeat came in the six-man Armageddon match in 2000, with Kurt Angle pinning The Rock to retain his WWE title. Then, at Vengeance 2005, HHH was unable to win the World Heavyweight Championship from Batista but was still given a standing ovation from the crowd.
The most memorable defeat, of course, came against The Undertaker in the “End of an Era” battle that the two had at WrestleMania XXVIII.
