5 WWE Superstars added to great factions of the past

The NWO was one of the greatest stables of the Monday Night War and performed in both WCW and WWF programming.

Over the years, there have been lots of great stables, factions and teams in the WWE. Fans really seem to draw to them, whether the teams are heel or face, and that can be seen by the number of New World Order shirts that can still be seen till date.

While there have been modern teams like The Shield or the Wyatt Family stepping up, none of them seem to stack up with the groups from the Attitude Era and before. That leaves the question of where today’s stars might fit in with those older groups.

Here’s five that might find a home.

Randy Orton – NWO

Randy Orton has been a part of several groups in his career.

Randy Orton has been in his fair share of groups – Evolution, Legacy and The Authority. But none of those would be as good of a fit as the aforementioned NWO might have been if Orton had broken into the sport a few years earlier.

Orton’s promo delivery and brutal wrestling style would have been a perfect fit in the group, and his status as an established champion with a bad attitude is clearly in line with who the NWO was.

Further, he’s shown the ability to work as a tweener face, which would make him a candidate for the Wolfpack version of the group.
