5 WWE Superstars being under-utilized at the moment
WWE is blessed with some of the world's best performers in both their male and female divisions. While WWE has been promoting talent on Raw and SmackDown along with NXT as well, some exciting talents have constantly been neglected and under-utilized by the management due to countless reasons.
While some of them such as Cody Rhodes have proven themselves to be more than just mid-carders with successful tenures outside of the WWE, the McMahons must have surely pondered upon what they can possibly do to bring out the best in the case of certain superstars if they are to fulfill their purpose in the company.
With the advent of AEW, a number of superstars such as Dean Ambrose and the Revival have already been touted to leave the company, therefore WWE has been forced to shift some of the attention to the workaholic superstars who hold a chunk of fan-following rather than focus on just the bigger and attractive propositions.
The Revival won their first piece of gold last Monday and with the trend continuing to gain momentum of late, here are five superstars who are being under-utilized by the WWE management.
#5 Rusev
Not long ago, "Rusev Day" was the talk of the town in the WWE, with Rusev destined to breakout after an uneventful couple of years in the company. Although Rusev did win the United States Championship after beating Shinsuke Nakamura, he is one of the most under-used superstars in the company right now.
Brilliant in the ring, Rusev was initially reprimanded for his lack of mic skills which saw Lana and Aiden English act as his manager/partner. The latter's involvement with Rusev saw the Bulgarian's stock soar among the fans, with chants of Rusev Day echoing every week on SmackDown.
Rusev and English had a great storyline together which was criticized by fans for not including a championship, indicating the WWE's lack of faith in Rusev.
While the break-up of the duo could have been portrayed better, Rusev has since slipped to the middle-card and has also turned heel along with Nakamura to put an end to what was an amazing gimmick - Rusev Day.
With the SmackDown roster lacking genuine main-event options, Rusev could be an answer to the aforementioned if he is given the push he deserves.
