5 WWE Superstars who can replace Chad Gable in the Alpha Academy after they walked out on him on RAW
WWE has a lot of compelling ongoing stories across all three brands. Despite that, an argument could be made that the best saga is that of The Alpha Academy and their Master, Chad Gable.
In all actuality, Chad may now be best described as their former leader. Following weeks of abuse, both physical and verbal, Gable received a wake-up call on RAW this week when Otis, Maxxine Dupri, and Akira Tozawa walked out on him.
Many believe that the trio has officially parted ways with Master Gable. This makes the future of The Alpha Academy very unclear. Chad is the leader, but the trio could very much take hold of the group and keep it for themselves moving forward.
If that is indeed the case, there are a handful of talented and charismatic performers on Monday Night RAW who could potentially step up and fill in for Chad. This article will look at a handful of names, including teams, who could be the ones to take Gable's spot in the group.
Below are five WWE Superstars who can replace Chad Gable in The Alpha Academy on him on RAW.
#5. Julius Creed & #4. Brutus Creed, The Creed Brothers would fit the gimmick
The Creed Brothers are one of the most beloved tag teams in WWE. While they're both still fairly new to the industry, they have a ton of talent and personality that could mean a very bright future moving forward. Unfortunately, despite that, they've been lost in the shuffle and are mostly off television.
It has been unfortunate, as the duo started with a lot of momentum. Brutus and Julius could align themselves with The Alpha Academy and get back on TV. Ivy Nile, their close friend, already teams up with Maxxine Dupri. They are together known as Diamond Mine and both groups appear to be friendly. There are clear links.
The Alpha Academy could take in two, if not all three, of the Diamond Mine stars to kick off a new era for the group. This would fly in the face of speculation that the former WWE NXT Tag Team Champions would be joining Chad Gable instead.
If nothing else, being part of a stable could mean that Julius and Brutus will receive regular TV time. Hopefully, it could also lead to more match time too. The only potential drawback is that Akira and Otis already operate as a team. Still, it would benefit them regardless of that logistical issue.
#3. Sami Zayn is already trying to help the WWE RAW stable
Sami Zayn is the ultimate good guy in WWE. No matter how tough things get, he almost always chooses the path of righteousness. Sometimes this even includes him trying to stand up to tyranny and cruel leadership.
The most obvious example of this is when he was a member of The Bloodline. Zayn later left the WWE faction and started to feud with them. In addition to his own issues with Roman Reigns, Sami would routinely try to help Jey Uso break the pattern of abuse and leave the faction.
The Underdog from the Underground has been doing the same thing on Monday Night RAW with The Alpha Academy. He routinely talks to Otis, Maxxine Dupri, and Akira Tozawa regarding Chad Gable's abuse and attempts to have the trio leave their Master's side.
Now that they seemingly have left Chad, perhaps Sami Zayn could be the one who steps in and works with the trio. Sami is the Intercontinental Champion, so he has the credentials to help the group and lead them to gold.
#2. The Miz & #1. R-Truth, The Awesome Truth are happy-go-lucky
The Awesome Truth is a tag team that first formed in WWE well over a decade ago. The duo of The Miz and R-Truth were heels back then, but they have reformed their team and are now beloved babyfaces.
While The Miz is popular and has been a major name for years, it is R-Truth who the WWE audience is truly behind. Ever since he returned at Survivor Series WarGames, Truth has been more popular than ever before.
The charismatic duo won the RAW Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 40 and still holds the gold to this very day. Just like with Sami, the championship credentials could help The Alpha Academy become more credible.
Above all else, the comedic stylings of all involved could make for a great dynamic. Regardless of how much it would benefit Akira, Otis, and Maxxine in terms of accomplishments, it would lead to entertaining television.
