5 WWE Superstars that defied science and returned from injury ahead of schedule
They say that doctors know best when it comes to how long a superstar is out of action due to injury. While this is right for most of the cases, in certain situations, the doctors are proven wrong due to the sheer determination and hard work of the professional wrestlers. And such instances provide us with some memorable returns as well.
Seth Rollins recently made a triumphant return to the WWE programming way ahead of his schedule. We are going to list down some of such returns which made us believe that wrestlers are indeed capable of delivering miracles when it comes to their injuries.
Seth Rollins (2016)
We are going to start with the star that urged us to make this list, Seth Rollins. Rollins, who was on a dream championship run after winning the title back in WrestleMania 31, suffered a huge injury when he tore his MCL and ACL during a live show in Dublin. He was attempting a sunset flip and his knee buckled, calling for surgery.
His estimated time of return was around nine months with SummerSlam being the rumored return date. But Rollins surprised everyone and returned at Extreme Rules to deliver a strong message to Roman Reigns and apparently motion towards reclaiming the WWE championship that he never lost.
