5 WWE Superstars Most Affected by Roman Reigns’ Suspension

Roman Reigns has been suspended for 30 days

We all know Vince McMahon likes a bit of controversy. And the news that WWE knew about Roman Reign’s violation of the company’s Wellness Policy a few days prior to the Money in the Bank pay-per-view created just that.

While WWE Battleground is still being promoted as a Triple-Threat match with Reigns in the main event with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose for the WWE World Title, I cannot see how this will work and the fans remain happy with the results.

Reigns is caught in no man’s land, and the company has itself to blame for not acting sooner than it did.

This suspension, which is still being discussed a week later, has so many ramifications. The three-time world champion is not the only one who was affected by the events of the past week and the news that he will be out of action for 30 days.

These other superstars could also be affected by the sudden turn of events.

#5 Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens could have won the MITB briefcase and gone after Roman Reigns

The prohibited favorite to win the Money in the Bank Ladder match is still a man without a briefcase and mired in the mid-card. How does the company’s best chance at a mega heel get out of the purgatory he is in?

The thought of Owens facing Reigns for the strap, or him cashing in on some would-be champion over the course of two or three months was intriguing. Now, Owens will battle Sami Zayn once more or move on to a series of matches with Alberto Del Rio, which are entertaining, but are not the best way to book him.

Owens was the biggest loser at Money in the Bank and the biggest loser after the pay-per-view too.
