5 WWE Superstars Roman Reigns had backstage heat with

Roman Reigns is one of the biggest babyfaces in WWE right now. He has been the face of the company for almost a decade and is also one of the locker room leaders in the Stamford-based promotion.

However, The Original Tribal Chief has had problems with a couple of his current and former colleagues in the past due to various reasons. The relationship between Reigns and some of those stars got better over time, but a few names still seem to be unhappy with him.

So, without further ado, let's take a look at five WWE Superstars who had heat with Roman Reigns.

#5. Randy Orton got into arguments with Roman Reigns twice

Randy Orton is one of the biggest WWE stars in the company's rich history, but he has had his fair share of problems with several names over the years.

Roman Reigns also had a few heated moments with The Viper. The first one came in 2013 when The Shield competed against The Legend Killer in a Tag Team match at a WWE live event, and Reigns and Orton botched a spot during the encounter.

This led to Reigns and Orton shouting at each other backstage. The Original Tribal Chief was still a rookie at that time, so him being on bad terms with a veteran like Orton made people unhappy about the former's behavior.

A year later, they were embroiled in a rivalry ahead of SummerSlam. This came a few months after The Shield and Evolution's rivalry, which led to the implosion of The Hounds of Justice.

There was heat between both men again, and they got into another argument because The Viper was accused of trying to sabotage Reigns' push.

Regardless of their relationship, they had a solid match at SummerSlam and have worked together on several occasions in WWE since then.

#4. CM Punk made Roman Reigns' job difficult

The Shield debuted at Survivor Series 2012 to help CM Punk retain the WWE Championship in a Triple Threat match against John Cena and Ryback. It was later revealed that The Hounds of Justice were hired by The Best in the World to assist him during his matches.

Punk revealed on Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast that The Shield was his idea behind the scenes as well, but he wanted former WWE star Kassius Ohno (Chris Hero) to play the role of Roman Reigns alongside Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. However, the Stamford-based promotion did not go with The Best in the World's choice.

Roman Reigns not being Punk's choice led to many issues between them.

The Voice of the Voiceless also revealed on the podcast that WWE wanted him to make Roman Reigns look really strong during the Handicap match between The Shield and Punk at TLC 2013.

Reigns faced immense trolling online due to Punk's comments, and he said in an interview with the Load Management podcast that it made his job a lot harder. He was also disliked by the fans for years despite being a babyface.

In that interview, Roman Reigns also made it clear that he did not like Punk and was not interested in a match with the former WWE Champion. The Head of the Table also blasted Punk for being ungrateful to the company and called him bitter during an interview with Ariel Helwani in 2021.

Despite their differences, Triple H is likely to eventually book the two men in a feud because it will surely draw fans' interest.

#3. Kevin Owens had heat with Roman Reigns over an unplanned spot

In the main event of the first-ever Survivor Series: WarGames in 2022, The Bloodline battled the team of The Brawling Brutes, Kevin Owens, and Drew McIntyre.

During the match, Kevin Owens slapped Roman Reigns. The spot was reportedly unplanned and left The Original Tribal Chief with a ruptured eardrum and bruising under his left eye.

Roman Reigns was upset about it and had an altercation with Owens backstage. However, the heat was said to be situational, and it did not cause any further problems.

The two men worked in a program on the road to WrestleMania 39 in 2023.

#2. Matt Riddle, after he said he could beat Roman Reigns in a real fight

Matt Riddle often landed in hot water during his time in WWE. He once made comments about Roman Reigns, which left The Original Tribal Chief unhappy.

Since The Original Bro has an MMA background, he said in an interview that he could beat Reigns in a real life fight. This was done when the former was promoting RK-Bro as the best Tag Team in WWE.

Reigns texted Riddle to express his displeasure about the comments. When they met later, The Original Bro apologized for his comments, and Randy Orton told Reigns that the duo hoped to work with The Bloodline in the future.

After that, Riddle and Reigns crossed paths at a house show. The Original Bro tried to start a conversation with The Head of The Table, but he got ignored.

Due to their heated rivalry, WWE tried to keep the two men apart when they were scheduled to appear on the same episode of The Bump in 2021.

Things got better during RK-Bro's feud with The Bloodline in the summer of 2022.

#1. Enzo Amore was kicked out of the locker room by Roman Reigns

Enzo Amore was very popular among fans during his Tag Team run with Big Cass in WWE. However, he used to spark controversies behind the scenes, which ultimately led to him being released by the Stamford-based promotion.

The former Tag Team Champion once brought a "series of questionable guests" into the WWE locker room who took pictures and videos of stars backstage. This led to Enzo Amore getting heat from his colleagues.

Apart from the stuff he was doing backstage, Amore also claimed at a concert that he punched a bully in the WWE locker room, which led to Reigns kicking him out.
