5 WWE Superstars that desperately need to switch brands

The Superstar Shakeup has become something of a 'refresh' button for WWE Superstars who just can't seem to catch a break.

But if unconfirmed rumours are to be believed, the WWE may be planning for one after Survivor Series as it's been a while since the last one in April.

For a host of WWE Superstars, it couldn't have come any sooner.

Be it due to lack of time on the TV, inability to connect with the audience or just piss poor booking, a number of Superstars seem underutilized and misused today.

Some have even upped and left the company because of it, disenchanted with the way they were being booked.

But for those who soldier on, unable to establish themselves high up on the totem pole but still embracing the grind of performing week-in-week-out, travelling incessantly and staying away from their families for extended periods of time, the Superstar Shakeup could be just what they need.

And who knows...like it eventually did for Sami Zayn, some may even end up catching the break that they've desperately sought all this while.

On that note, here are five WWE Superstars for whom the grass could actually turn out to be greener on the other side.

#5 Dolph Ziggler

Ultimately the best decision for him may be to leave the WWE...but let's try Raw first

The Show-Off suffered yet another loss to an NXT graduate in Bobby Roode this last week on SmackDown Live, pretty much underlining his role in the company today.

Dolph Ziggler is purely being used to put over upper mid-card Superstars.

But on some level, you have to wonder if never being allowed to take the next step is getting to him after all these years.

That rollicking feud with the Miz where they exchanged shoot promos and went at each other's jugular pretty much still rings true to this day; Dolph Ziggler is a very talented wrestler who just keeps falling at the final hurdle.

Perhaps he's resigned himself to it or - like rumours would suggest - he's just running his contract down before taking his talents elsewhere.

Either way, if Kane can get one last strong push, Dolph Ziggler can too. And switching brands may be the best way to pull it off.
