Becky Lynch won the Raw Women’s Championship from Ronda Rousey and the SmackDown Women’s Championship from Charlotte Flair in the ‘Winner Take All’ main event at WWE WrestleMania 35.

The following night on Raw, she discussed the biggest victory of her career during an in-ring promo before she was interrupted by Lacey Evans, who walked down the ramp and struck the new champion across the face with her Women’s Right punch. "The Man” then followed “The Lady of WWE” back up the ramp and stood tall on the stage area after a brawl near the announce desk.

As many fans have pointed out on social media since this week’s Raw, Evans is yet to even win a match since she left NXT and started appearing on Raw and SmackDown Live. She has featured twice on Main Event, losing on both occasions to Natalya, while she was eliminated from the 2019 Royal Rumble.

Given that the former marine has done nothing to earn an opportunity at Lynch’s titles, let’s take a look at five alternative Superstars who could realistically challenge the WrestleMania 35 main-eventer in the coming weeks.

#5 Asuka

Asuka was due to face the winner of Carmella vs. Naomi vs. Mandy Rose vs. Sonya Deville in a SmackDown Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania 35. However, WWE decided to scrap the Fatal 4-Way and set up a match between “The Empress of Tomorrow” and Charlotte Flair on SmackDown Live instead.

Flair won the match, meaning she headed into WrestleMania as the SmackDown Women’s champion, while Asuka was forced to settle for a spot in the Women’s Battle Royal. In the end, the Japanese star had a strong showing in the match but she was eliminated by runner-up Sarah Logan.

Asuka fans have started an #AsukaDeservesBetter hashtag on social media following her impromptu title match, while Superstars including Rusev and Lana have described her as “the best female wrestler of all time”.

It might be a little too early for a Lynch vs. Asuka match – they only recently faced each other at the 2019 Royal Rumble – but there is nobody more deserving than the 37-year-old to take on “The Man” next.
