5 WWE Superstars who got seriously injured in ladder matches
Ladder matches are one of the most dangerous types of matches in WWE. No matter how trained you are, there's always a risk when a huge lug of steel is involved as well as falling of heights.
With that being said, let's take a look at some serious injuries suffered by WWE Superstars in ladder matches over the years.
#5 CM Punk
We start off our list with the notorious 2013 Money In The Bank ladder match which also appears later on our list. We start off with the nasty injury suffered by CM Punk that night. The nasty looking gash was the result of Paul Heyman repeatedly hitting Punk over the head with a ladder.

#4 Jeff Hardy
Extreme Rules 2009 was a huge show for WWE for a number of reasons. However, we're here to discuss the ladder match between Edge and Jeff Hardy for the World Heavyweight Championship.
The match featured a number of dangerous spots and Jeff Hardy ended up leaving with multiple injuries. The first injury Hardy suffered was a shoulder injury that took place following a ladder to ladder spot between him and Edge. The second injury was a broken finger which was the result of an awkward fall from the ladder.
Hardy eventually won the match but his victory was short lived. CM Punk came out and cashed in his Money In The Bank contract to win the World Heavyweight title.
