5 WWE Superstars Who May Request Their Release Following Tye Dillinger
After months of hearing about The Revival, Dean Ambrose, Mike Kanellis and others being unhappy with WWE and requesting releases, Tye Dillinger is the latest in this growing trend. He confirmed on Twitter that as of yesterday, he officially asked for his release from the company.
It's been a long time coming for the Perfect 10, who came to the main roster with a cult-like following from the WWE Universe, but as we've become accustomed too, that momentum was killed almost immediately, and Tye has begun to think about his future.
While we wish Tye all the best, this article isn't about him, it's about people in similar situations to him, and 5 that should follow suit, so without further ado, these are 5 WWE Superstars who should look to ask for their release from the WWE in the near future.
#5 Apollo Crews
Apollo Crews, on the surface has all it takes to be a top star in the WWE: the looks, the body and freakish athleticism, but WWE have failed to use him correctly. He came to NXT after a great career on the independent scene, and was pushed through the developmental program, failing to address all of his flaws, and 2 years later, it's coming back to haunt them.
Early on in his main roster career, it was clear that the WWE had big plans for Apollo, but he just couldn't connect with the crowd despite his talent, and it's seen him pushed deeper and deeper down the card.
If he waits it out and takes opportunities, Crews could be a valuable mid-card act one day, but someone as good as him with all the tools should be a main event player, so leaving the WWE to prove that before returning would be the best option for him right now.
