Sports entertainment is basically a typical soap opera with the only difference being that wrestling shows take place in front of a live audience with a ring the middle of the arena instead of a setting such as an apartment or a restaurant. Just like on a soap opera, WWE Superstars portray fictional characters and they're usually free to beat up their enemies as they please.

This has not always ended up well though, as some wrestlers have taken things a little bit too far, which resulted in them being locked behind bars, often returning just one short week later, and somtimes just hours after the arrest in order to settle the score in the squared-circle on the same night! That's because in this sport, everything gets resolved inside a wrestling ring.

Let's take a look at five recent arrests on WWE TV.

#5 Mr. McMahon

Vince McMahon, the chairman and CEO of WWE, plays a ruthless boss and a nasty human being on TV known as Mr. McMahon. Many fans regard Mr. McMahon as the best heel in WWE history, and looking back at the things that the evil boss has done over the years, it's hard to disagree.

However, some of the chairman's bad deeds have forced him to pay the price. McMahon has been "arrested" several times, and his most recent arrest came in 2015 when he assaulted a police officer on an episode of Monday Night Raw. The boss and his daughter, Stephanie McMahon, came up with a plan to have Roman Reigns arrested, but unfortunately for them, things didn't go the way they planned.

Mr. McMahon was arrested that night, but he was released just in time to announce that he would be the special guest referee for Reigns' WWETtile match the following week on Raw.
