5 WWE Superstars who surpassed their brothers

Professional wrestling is very much a family business. The current roster is packed with second and third generation Superstars who are following in their family's footsteps. The Flairs, The Harts, and even The McMahons, there are a multitude of family trees stretching back into the annals of professional wrestling.

It's not all father and sons, and mothers and daughters, of course, and a lot of the time whole generations of families can be in the business at one time. We've seen brothers do battle against one another and when it comes to the Samoan Dynasty in WWE, every family member imaginable going up against each other.

While having wrestling in your genes can often mean you'll take to the business, it doesn't mean you're necessarily going to be the best your particular family has to offer. If you're wrestling at the same time as a sibling, then unless you're twins like The Usos, one of you has to be better, even if it's only ever so slightly.

#5 Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler may be an established name in WWE right now, but it wasn't all plain sailing for The Showoff. Some of you may recall how he made his main roster debut. For those who don't, Ziggler was once a member of the male cheerleading themed faction the Spirit Squad.

Even if Dolph's only experience in the main roster had been with his cheerleader pals, then he would have sadly still enjoyed more success than his pro wrestling younger brother, Ryan. Ryan was also signed to WWE for a time but never made it past the NXT stage.

The younger Ziggler - real last name Nemeth - still continues to wrestle on the independent circuit. Dolph is pretty vocal about not getting the shots he thinks he's owed in WWE. He should consider himself lucky that he's even getting a shot at the big time at all, unlike his younger brother.
