5 WWE Superstars who would benefit from a run in NJPW
New Japan Pro Wrestling is the ‘in’ thing in professional wrestling right now, and because of that, the majority of non-WWE superstars are often trying to find a way to break into the Japanese market. Some succeed and others don’t, but sometimes, the best guys for the job are located right where you’d least expect – World Wrestling Entertainment itself.
WWE is full to the brim with superstars who need a change of pace, and ironically enough, New Japan always has room for new stars. In a few years, we may even get to a point where guys are actively choosing to leave the comfort of Vince McMahon in search of pastures new.
With WrestleMania coming up there’s always a chance that the company will be letting people go, and perhaps a few of these entries will be on the chopping block.
With that being said, here are five WWE superstars who we believe would benefit from a run in NJPW.
#5 Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler is a lot of things, and weirdly enough, United States Champion may still be one of them. The former Money in the Bank holder is in an odd position right now as nobody knows what his current contract situation is. Some people think he’s gone from WWE, meanwhile, others believe he’ll come back and challenge Bobby Roode to a match for the undisputed US belt.
Either way, there’s only one place we want to see him go next: and that’s Japan. Ziggles has been a loyal member of the main roster for well over a decade now, and it’s fair to say that he’s gotten stale. Perhaps a run elsewhere will allow him to come back in a few years and completely change things up.
