6’2’’ former champion to come out of retirement in WWE after a decade to face Randy Orton? Chances explored

Randy Orton engaged in a heated brawl with Kevin Owens at WWE Crown Jewel 2024. He may have provoked a wrestling veteran to come out of retirement to fight him on a big stage.

At Crown Jewel 2024, The Viper and The Prizefighter did not even wait for their scheduled match to start and unleashed an all-out brawl instead. The two brawled all over the arena, and no one was able to stop the fight. From the looks of it, the rivalry is far from over and fans could witness another contest at the Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 Premium Live Event.

During the brawl, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce intervened to stop the rivals from tearing each other apart. Unfortunately, the fired-up Apex Predator could not control himself and hit Pearce with an RKO out of nowhere. This could provoke the 6'2'' authority figure to compete in a match after a decade.

Adam Pearce, who is a former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, officially retired from in-ring competition in 2014 and later transitioned into being an on-screen General Manager for WWE RAW. However, coming out of retirement is common in professional wrestling, with the biggest examples being Edge, now known as Adam Copeland, Daniel Bryan, now known as Bryan Danielson, and Shawn Michaels. The 46-year-old might just join the list to have an in-ring battle with the 14-time World Champion in WWE.

While the possibility of this confrontation is realistic, it is nowhere near confirmed and just speculation for now. The plans will be revealed with time.

Possible directions for Randy Orton following WWE Crown Jewel 2024

There are several ways the storyline could unfold for Randy Orton except his potential feud with WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce. As mentioned above, he could continue his feud with Kevin Owens leading to another match at the upcoming Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 Premium Live Event.

During the latest edition of SmackDown, Randy briefly gazed at the Undisputed WWE Championship as he assured Cody Rhodes he would find something to do after Crown Jewel 2024. The Viper may have hinted at a heel turn to feud with The American Nightmare, potentially leading to a dream match at WrestleMania 41.

Orton, Owens, and Rhodes could also start a heated feud for The American Nightmare's title. It will be interesting to see what the Stamford-based promotion has in store for the former allies.
