6 Reasons why WWE should disband The Judgment Day

The Judgment Day faction's WWE stint is seemingly on shaky grounds. The iconic heel group which was started by former WWE Superstar Edge in 2022, has seen few exits lately, most prominently Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest. The three superstars who had started the faction are no longer in it.

The current members of the group are Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, Carlito, Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, and the latest addition, Raquel Rodriguez. Further, the group is witnessing internal turmoil as evidenced by Finn Balor's snubbing of Dominik Mysterio's desire to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

It's evident that Judgment Day is caught up in internal chaos and the faction is now beginning to lose the momentum it once had as a top-class heel group. Below are six reasons why WWE should disband The Judgment Day group for the better.

#1 Finn Balor’s character has gotten stale

Finn Balor's heel character as part of The Judgment Day has become monotonous and stale lately. While it fueled his career back in June 2022, when he joined the group, it has only gone down since he has been reduced to one-half of World Tag Team Champions.

Maybe it's high time that Balor is turned into a face once again, and allowed a singles run rather than being part of a heel group of which he has been part of more than two years now, with not much character growth.

#2 The faction isn’t relevant anymore and has lost steam since Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest left

The Judgment Day has been losing its sheen ever since Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest separated from the group. It all happened at SummerSlam 2024 when Dirty Dom turned on Ripley, causing her to lose her title match against Liv Morgan. The same night, Finn Balor turned on Damian Priest, and that was the end of two big faces in The Judgment Day.

With Priest being in the group as World Heavyweight Champion, and Rhea Ripley being the former Women's World Champion, the faction was taken as a serious threat. Now, with Morgan only there as WWE Women's World Champion, and the tag division on the red brand almost forgotten, the faction seems to have lost its relevance in the promotion.

#3 Liv Morgan doesn’t need a stable

Liv Morgan has certainly etched her spot as a top WWE Superstar, and it looks like she doesn't need a stable to push herself now. While her first WWE championship run was not up to par, her second reign has brought significant laurels for her.

In fact, with the addition of Raquel Rodriguez as another female face in the group, it looks like Morgan should soon leave the camp to pursue an individual run. Further, her romantic storyline with Dominik also has outlived its tenure, and both of these superstars should pursue singles runs.

#4 Time for Dominik Mysterio’s singles run

It's high time for Dominik Mysterio to come out of the cocoon and test the waters as an individual superstar. Ever since starting in 2019, Dominik has constantly been in one group or the other. Earlier, he was under his father, Rey Mysterio's wing, and later he became part of The Judgment Day.

Now that Dominik has qualified to be among the contenders for Gunther's WWE World Heavyweight Championship, it's time that Triple H disband the group and allows a solo run for its members who need it to break out of the rut.

#5 Repetitive booking and never-ending feuds with its former members.

The Judgment Day camp is also a victim of repetitive booking where it's only colliding with its former members. For example, Liv Morgan is still being booked against former member, Rhea Ripley, while Dirty Dom is facing Damian Priest on WWE RAW.

The group's storyline is still stuck around its past and current members, and it's not getting over. The fans also seem bored with this repetitive booking and need something fresh.

#6 The Judgment Day's lack of leadership

The heel group also has been suffering from a lack of leadership issues. When Edge left, Priest and Rhea Ripley were the potential leaders. And now since they are gone, it seems that the entire Judgment Day group has become leaderless.

Finn Balor is concentrating on his tag team championship run while JD McDonagh, Carlito, Dominik, and Raquel Rodriguez exhibit no leadership qualities. Morgan, on her part, too isn't a great heel and isn't at par with what Rhea Ripley once used to be in The Judgment Day. The group is losing its thrill with each passing day, and soon fans might witness either some new additions or WWE might just disband it altogether. Let's see which way it goes.
