6 Superstars that should stay with NXT beyond 2019

NXT is WWE's most consistent and entertaining show, and it's been that way for a number of years now, and with the quality of the last few Takeover's, it's hard not to predict that NXT will continue that trend for quite some time.

The most exciting part about WWE for the majority of the year is seeing which NXT Superstars will rise to the main roster, but with the talent on RAW and Smackdown is more stacked than ever, that might not happen in 2019.

Sure, there are going to be a couple of performers that need to move up (Aleister Black, Tommaso Ciampa), because they've simply got nothing left to do down in NXT.

Instead of a big wave of superstars joining the main roster, we'd like to see some stay put. If this is to happen, we may need to see NXT moved to a one and a half hour weekly show, because they're also stacked with talent.

But, either way, the WWE needs to keep a lot of people in the developmental show. They don't need to develop anymore, but with WWE's reluctance to release some performers, there's just no time and room for a lot of the NXT talent to get significant time on the main roster, so the following are 6 performers we'd love to see down in NXT until 2020 at the earliest.

So what do you guys think of the list? Is there anyone from NXT that you desperately want to see on the main roster?

Are the performers on this list the ones that you enjoy watching at NXT weekly and then on Takeovers?

What are some dream matches you'd like to see down in NXT over the next year? As always, let us know all your thoughts and comments down in the comment section below.

#6 Matt Riddle

Matt Riddle is one of the newest stars in NXT, but already he's made a massive impact, and The Original Bro is looking like the star we all knew he'd be in the WWE.

He's only had the one rivalry with Kassius Ohno, but he came out of that looking like a million bucks, and with all the tools it takes to be a top star in the WWE, it won't be long before he is pursuing gold in NXT.

It seems that guys like Gargano, Ciampa, Dream, Cole, Ricochet are all ahead of Riddle when it comes to title contention, so the company may look to build Riddle up before doing so, but it won't take long.

He has a legit background, a likeable personality and an amazing in-ring style that allows him to easily mesh with any opponent.

Although he has been talking about retiring Brock Lesnar for years now, that may have to wait until 2020 when he is built into a credible threat for The Beast.
