Brock Lesnar losses are extremely rare

It’s been the worst-kept secret in WWE over the last year that the company is building towards a Universal Championship match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34.

The inevitable encounter will almost certainly see “The Big Dog” pick up another torch-passing win on the big stage, just like he did in the previous two years against Triple H and The Undertaker.

With Lesnar due to leave WWE later in 2018, there’s every chance that Vince McMahon & Co. could decide to have him lose via pinfall at ‘Mania – something that has only happened against six previous opponents in WWE.

In this article, we run through the six men who have been able to pin “The Beast” during his two spells in WWE and look at how they were able to do so.

Paul Heyman turned against Brock Lesnar in November 2002

At Survivor Series 2002, relative newcomer Brock Lesnar was three months into his first WWE Championship reign when he came face-to-face with the almighty Big Show.

Towards the end of the four-minute match, a second referee was forced to intervene after the increasingly popular Lesnar inadvertently knocked the original official through the ropes.

Just as the second referee was about to count 1-2-3 after an F5 from Lesnar, Paul Heyman – the agent of “The Next Big Thing” – dragged him out of the ring and sided with Big Show, who then chokeslammed Lesnar onto a steel chair.

The first referee then counted 1-2-3 and the man we now know as “The Beast” suffered his first pinfall loss in WWE.
