6 WWE superstars who held 2 different titles at the same time
One of the biggest achievements a professional wrestler could achieve in his career is winning a championship, whichever it may be.
But what is better than winning one championship? Two championships.
Over the years, there have been myriad of WWE superstars who held two different titles at the same time. These titles ranged from the world title to various secondary belts and the Tag Team Championship. A few of them are still on the WWE roster, while some have retired in recent months.
There are many more double champions in WWE history, but here are six of them who achieved this feat in fairly recent times.
#6 Seth Rollins
Becoming a double champion once is sweet, but doing it multiple times is something else entirely. This week on Raw, Seth Rollins completed a hat-trick of dual championship victories. It has become a habit for him now, having held two titles simultaneously three different times now.
The Beastslayer first did this when he defeated John Cena at SummerSlam in a match where both, his WWE Championship and Cena's United States Championship, were on the line.
He became a double champ once again last year when he and Dean Ambrose captured the Raw Tag Team Championship on the night that Roman Reigns announced the return of his leukemia. Rollins was the Intercontinental Champion at the time and even though Ambrose turned on him on that very night, their latest reign as tag champs is still in the record books.
Finally, the current Universal Champion returned to double champ status, a territory he has grown to be familiar with, this time winning the Raw tag titles alongside Braun Strowman against the OC. We do not know how long this odd pairing will hold the belts for, but Monday's victory made Seth Rollins a 'triple' double champ.
