7 former and current WWE Superstars who were kicked out of the locker room
One of the most important aspects between WWE Superstars is their chemistry, as without it they won't be able to tell compelling stories and perform fluidly in the ring. These bonds are mostly formed behind the scenes and in the locker room. However, the locker room can also be a daunting place, especially for young talents.
The locker room is a place for wrestlers to wind down from playing a character and be themselves. However, this could sometimes earn them the nickname of a locker room leader. Conversely, this could also lead to them getting kicked out. Several former and present WWE Superstars have been kicked out of the locker room for various reasons. While some were shown the door purely for storyline purposes, some were legitimately booted out.
In this list, we will look at seven WWE Superstars who were kicked out of the locker room:
#7. and #6. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were recently barred by Rey Mysterio
Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are arguably the biggest heels on Monday Night RAW today. Fans and the duo's colleagues have turned on them after The New Day members kicked Big E out of the stable.
Last week, The New Day duo was seen being ignored backstage by other stars. This week, Rey Mysterio prevented Kofi and Xavier from entering the locker room as the rest of the guys didn't want them there. However, the angle is part of the ongoing storyline.
#5. and #4. WWE Hall of Famers The Bella Twins
The Bella Twins played an important role in the Divas Revolution in 2015 and women's wrestling as a whole. However, their fellow superstars didn't make the beginning of their journeys easy.
The WWE Hall of Famers previously shared that after being called up from FCW in 2008 to make their SmackDown debut, some women from the locker room gave them the wrong time for the show. This led to them getting in trouble with management and fellow superstars. They were kicked out of the locker room and had to change inside a bathroom until an official sorted things out.
#3. Enzo Amore was kicked out after getting physical with another star
Enzo Amore was one of the stars who was earmarked for success on the main roster during the last decade. Unfortunately for Enzo, the success he had in NXT deserted him on the main roster, as he landed in trouble backstage.
It was previously reported that Enzo was thrown out of the locker room in 2017 for "running his mouth" too much. Amore later claimed that he was kicked out after he ''punched a bully'' for running their mouth. However, Fightful later reported that after reaching out to superstars regarding this topic, it was confirmed that Amore indeed punched someone, but it was because "he was being chewed out."
#2. The Miz has a well-known locker room story
Being kicked out of the locker room is a memory that many don't even want to recall. However, The Miz's story has been told several times in the past.
The A-Lister wasn't always friendly backstage during his initial years, as he wasn't able to get on the same page with other wrestlers. His case worsened when Chris Benoit found him eating chicken over Scott Armstrong's bag, leading to the RAW Superstar getting kicked out of the locker room for seven months until The Undertaker invited him back.
#1. Mr. Kennedy found himself in a couple of controversies during his time in WWE
Mr. Kennedy performed in WWE from 2005 to 2009. During his stint, he captured the United States Championship and the Money in the Bank contract. However, he also ran into several backstage issues in the Stamford-based promotion.
In 2005, when he was just a newly signed talent, the former SmackDown Superstar won a Battle Royal during a house show. It was expected of wrestlers to go back to the locker room and thank everybody who put them over. Since Kennedy was new at the time, he didn't know about this. This resulted in Hardcore Holly confronting him and throwing his bags outside the locker room, banning him until further notice.
