Before the Attitude Era kicked in, and in the aftermath of the Steroids scandal, emerged a superstar who called himself the ‘best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be’. When Hulk Hogan was on his way out of WWE, and the company pinned their hopes on Lex Luger, the fans began to back a smaller, technically sound superstar who (along with members of the Kliq) would carry the company on his back through the early 90s.
