7-time WWE champion to return after 691 days at Saturday Night's Main Event? Chances explored

WWE is all set to stroll down memory lane this Saturday, as they are bringing back Saturday Night's Main Event. A show of epic proportions, the WWE last hosted the show nearly 16 years ago. But now, it's back, and with it, fans may see the return of a seven-time WWE champion after a whopping 691 days.

The seven-time WWE champion in question is one who is actually synonymous with the event. Hulk Hogan made his last appearance in WWE, back in January 2023. He is considered a legendary figure in professional wrestling, having held the WWE Championship six times and the WWE Tag Team Championship once. However, his achievements at Saturday Night's Main Event may overshadow those titles.

As mentioned earlier, Saturday Night's Main Event is a show of epic proportions, with close to 36 editions being held so far. It started way back in 1985, and none other than Hulk Hogan was featured in the main event. But that's not what makes it such a special occasion, especially when talking about Hogan. The show can be potentially described as the "Hulk Hogan Show" as The Hulkster main evented it 25 times.

With that in mind, having Hogan's presence in Long Island, New York only seems natural. It is a night for nostalgia after all, and allowing the WWE Universe to experience Hulkamania after 691 days would be something special. But, at the end of the day, this is nothing more than speculation.

The match card for Saturday Night's Main Event is looking stacked after WWE RAW

Hulk Hogan's many main events aside, this weekend's edition of Saturday Night's Main Event is looking incredible. Considering it is the 37th edition of its kind, WWE and Triple H have gone all out for the show, especially as it is making a comeback after 16 years. What's more, the card is looking even more stacked after last night's RAW.

A few matches were already confirmed before this week. Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens' blood feud reaches its climax, and Liv Morgan defends her Women's World Championship against IYO SKY. Furthermore, the finals of the Women's US Championship tournament also take place. But, that's not all, following RAW, WWE announced a Triple Threat match between Gunther, Damian Priest, and Finn Balor with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line, as well as another heated showdown between Sami Zayn and Drew McIntyre.

There is a lot to look forward to on the night. So, there is no doubt that fans will be tuning in to catch all the action.
