WWE RAW was taped ahead of the holiday season to ensure fans have something to look forward to on their televisions this Monday night. It is also just two weeks before the grand RAW premiere on Netflix.

The show furthered many existing rivalries while giving birth to a few new ones. Meanwhile, it also hosted a match from the ongoing Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament.

Check out the seven top spoilers from the upcoming WWE RAW show.

#7. IYO SKY advanced in the Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament

IYO SKY, Natalya, and Alba Fyre met in the first match of the night. The contest was part of the tournament to crown the inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

SKY replaced Kairi Sane who was written out after a Pure Fusion Collective attack on the December 16 episode. The former women’s champion's inclusion added a lot more dimension to the match than her opponents.

While The Queen of Harts hoped to win some gold once again after pushing so many other WWE stars, she was unable to advance in the tournament. Instead, IYO SKY picked up the victory to move on to the next step in the Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament.

#6. Chad Gable defeated a former teammate on WWE RAW

Alpha Academy and R-Truth had a backstage segment, later joined by American Made. Judgment Day also made an appearance to make it more impactful.

In the ring, Chad Gable faced off against Alpha Academy’s Akira Tozawa. He made his former faction mate regret facing him and punished him during the contest.

Gable picked up the win with a submission hold, and he refused to break it after the match ended. Otis ran in to save his friend and made Gable back off. WWE may revisit the rivalry between Alpha Academy and American Made soon.

#5. Damian Priest put down another Judgment Day member

Judgment Day’s rivalry with Damian Priest continued on the taped episode of WWE RAW. Priest took on Dominik Mysterio in a singles match again.

JD McDonagh came out to support ‘Dirty’ Dom wearing a Santa Claus outfit. He tried to attack Priest, but The Archer of Infamy took him down.

Carlito was also under the ring and looked to get the better of the former Judgment Day member. However, Priest overcame the odds to pick up another win to stay ahead on the brand. The segment ended with another beatdown for the former World Heavyweight Champion.

#4. Dexter Lumis and The Miz’s match ended in a disqualification

The Wyatt Sicks came out with Dexter Lumis for his match against The Miz. Wyatt Sicks’ entrance was cut short because of what looked like a technical glitch.

The two men competed in a good match that did not last too long. It ended in a disqualification after The Final Testament came to The Miz’s aide.

The Wyatt Sicks evened the odds to save Lumis. The match simply took the rivalry between the two factions forward in WWE.

#3. New Day made fun of another injured WWE star

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods came out next to cut another promo. The freshly turned heels looked to attract a lot more heat on the RAW before Christmas.

They targeted the WWE RAW announcers this week and pointed out that Wade Barrett was just like Big E. They noted that he had given up his in-ring career due to an injury, just like their former friend.

Kofi pointed out that his mother was in the arena to watch him. However, she did not seem too pleased with his harsh words towards his colleagues. The duo was booed out of the building in Boston.

It looked like New Day was building towards a match against Wade Barrett and Big E. However, that does seem a bit too farfetched at the moment.

#2. Sami Zayn suffers another loss on RAW

Following the opening segment promos by Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn, this match was booked for the main event of RAW.

The Saturday Night’s Main Event rematch saw both men deliver another good performance. Zayn looked close to picking up a win, but a Claymore Kick from The Scottish Warrior ended his hopes of doing so.

WWE will likely stretch this rivalry for some time, and that is why a rematch was booked this week. Drew McIntyre needs to stay busy so that Roman Reigns can get over his other feuds.

#1. The New Bloodline saved Drew McIntyre

Jey Uso came out to make the save for Sami Zayn after the match ended and Drew McIntyre did not back off. The New Bloodline then emerged on RAW, and Solo Sikoa and his men took down Sami and Jey.

Drew McIntyre simply backed off and exited the ring, after Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga took over. They beat down the babyfaces mercilessly as McIntyre walked away from the action.

Medical personnel had to check on both men once The New Bloodline was done putting them through hell to end RAW this week.
