8 Dream matches for Dean Ambrose in AEW and NJPW
It's been a whirlwind of a start to 2019 for fans of professional wrestling. The beginning of the year saw All Elite Wrestling officially getting announced which could have a seismic impact on the state of professional wrestling, not only in the United States but worldwide.
AEW showed their intent by signing Chris Jericho and reportedly signing him to the biggest contract of his pro wrestling career. A television deal is also reportedly on the table and we've already seen certain ramifications for WWE including some Superstars reportedly asking for their release. Dean Ambrose reportedly refused to sign a new contract after being unhappy with his position in WWE and disappointed with creative, something WWE officially acknowledge.
We still don't know if this is a work or whether Dean Ambrose is actually set to leave but if he does, the possibilities for him are huge. Where could Ambrose end up for the next few years? The two biggest destinations for him outside WWE would probably be New Japan Pro Wrestling or the fledgling All Elite Wrestling.
In this article, we take a look at some dream matches in store for Ambrose at NJPW or AEW if he does indeed decide to part ways with the WWE.

#8 Dean Ambrose vs Cody
Yes, Dean Ambrose has already faced Cody in the WWE both as Cody Rhodes and his alter-ego Stardust. However, as we all know, Cody has totally reinvented himself since leaving the 'E and has since become one of the hottest acts in pro wrestling.
Despite Ambrose not getting much from creative in the last couple of years, he's still one of the most popular WWE Superstars around and Cody vs Ambrose would definitely by a huge match if AEW decided to go that way for All In 2 which also coincidentally takes place in Vegas where Ambrose resides.
#7 Dean Ambrose vs PAC
WWE could have done so much with the former-Neville. He had it all by the time he left - the ability both in the ring and the mic as well as the look. Neville came such a long way from the sort-of bland babyface who made his main roster debut to when he came back from injury as the 'King of the Cruiserweights'.
PAC doesn't back down from anyone and one person who won't be afraid to go toe-to-toe the Dragon Gate Champion will be Dean Ambrose.
