8-time WWE tag team champions to reunite for the first time in over a year on SmackDown? Analyzing the possibility
WWE's upcoming premium live event, Crown Jewel will take place in Saudi Arabia on November 2, 2024. For that mega event, a major tag team match might be on the cards, and it could be announced as early as on this week's Friday Night SmackDown episode.
This won't be an ordinary match but a rather special one, as it might bring an eight-time tag team champions together once again. Fans must have guessed it by now. Yes, we are talking about the reunion of The Usos.
The iconic team hasn't been seen together for over a year now. They lost their WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 39. Soon, Jey Uso broke from Jimmy Uso and The Bloodline and even moved brands to go to WWE RAW.
However, there is a huge chance of the two getting together on SmackDown this week to challenge their common enemies in a tag team match at Crown Jewel.
The Usos might challenge Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa for a match at Crown Jewel
Since Solo Sikoa's men cost Jey Uso his WWE Intercontinental Championship on RAW this week, The Yeet Master would be thirsting for revenge. Jimmy had already shown his willingness to bring Jey Uso back to the original Bloodline last Friday. It was Roman Reigns who was reluctant to get him back in the fold.
Now, The Yeet Master has enough reasons to come back and reform the OG Bloodline along with Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso. And the first bout for The Usos? Go after the tag team titles held by The Tongans in Solo Sikoa's faction.
Jimmy and Jey can join forces on SmackDown and challenge Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa for a tag team match at Crown Jewel. While the finish may not be clean, it would certainly involve interference from the other members from both iterations of The Bloodline. This increases the stakes and gives momentum for the eventual WarGames match at Survivor Series.
Further, it is also expected that their father, Rikishi might show up at SmackDown along with Jey Uso to finally settle down things between Main Event Jay and his cousin Roman. The foundations of the OG Bloodline are expected to be laid on WWE Friday Night SmackDown this week.
Moreover, there can be one or two more additions to Reigns' brigade ahead of Survivor Series. Their cousin, Zilla Fatu, son of late WWE legend Edi Fatu, aka Umaga, is also expected to make his WWE debut soon.
Similarly, another Anoa'i member, Hikuleo, who could be the face behind the moniker Talla Tonga, is also expected to join Solo Sikoa's team soon. Henceforth, The Bloodline storyline is only going to get more exciting as the WWE Universe heads toward Survivor Series: Wargames which is on November 30, 2024.
