9 Biggest WWE Superstars yet to win a main roster championship

Being the biggest pro wrestling company on the planet, WWE is jam-packed with world-class talent. Not only does the Stamford-based promotion have arguably the most talented roster on the planet, but their current record-breaking business suggests that they may have one of the best locker rooms in history.

Due to this abundance of talent across the card, opportunities to become a champion may be hard to come by. With 12 main roster titles for over 100 superstars, some incredibly skilled competitors often remain uncrowned for long periods due to the ups and downs of booking and momentum. As SummerSlam 2024 approaches, three stars could claim their first main roster silverware.

With that in mind, let's look at nine of the biggest WWE Superstars to never win main roster singles or tag team gold.

This list will focus on WWE Superstars currently on RAW or SmackDown who have been active on the main roster for a substantial amount of time. As a result, many superstars who qualify to be mentioned will miss out on the entries but deserve to be listed.

These uncrowned superstars include:

Fairly recent NXT call-ups and re-hires such as Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, Kiana James, Lyra Valkyria, Zoey Stark, Tegan Nox, Dragon Lee, Tyler Bate, and Blair Davenport
Valets including B-Fab, Elektra Lopez, Valhalla, Scarlett and Maxxine Dupri
Superstars who were called up and barely featured such as Odyssey Jones

As it stands, most of these superstars are just getting started on the main roster and seem to have lots of gold in their future. One cannot help but be excited to witness how and when they make their way to their first main roster championship and beyond. For the above stars, it is only a matter of time. For the competitors listed below, however, "long overdue" is the sentiment among a section of fans.

#9-#5. WWE NXT standouts such as Candice LeRae, Santos Escobar, Shotzi, Pete Dunne, and Bronson Reed have gone years without main roster gold

Triple H's time in charge of NXT was highly acclaimed by WWE's hardcore fanbase. The Black and Gold Era presented a faster-paced, grittier in-ring product revolving around standouts from the independent scene, a stark contrast to that time's main roster style. A new crop of stars was created that would disperse to RAW, SmackDown, and AEW when the developmental show rebranded.

When The Game took over the main roster creative in 2022, he quickly re-hired and called up several Black & Gold standouts. This caused much excitement among fans that they would replicate their success from the developmental brand on RAW and SmackDown. Almost two years (or more) into their main roster stints, many of these competitors are yet to claim gold.

Will we see names such as Santos Escobar, Bronson Reed, Shotzi, Pete Dunne, and Candice LeRae holding gold on the red or blue brand soon? Only time will tell.

#4. & #3. Karrion Kross and Mia Yim are yet to win WWE main roster titles in their multiple stints with the company

Two other NXT standouts re-hired by Triple H in the early days of his run as head of WWE creative were Karrion Kross and Mia Yim. This duo returned to the company at different points in late 2022 and has been regular fixtures on the roster ever since. The difference between them and the previous entries on the list is that Kross and Yim previously had stints on the main roster.

Neither the former Retribution member nor The Doom Walker have won main roster gold under Vince McMahon or Triple H. However, both stars are regularly featured on weekly television, feuding with top stars and former world champions. It seems only a matter of time until they are trusted with main roster gold as a reward for their consistency and selfless work in the lower card.

#2. The Undisputed WWE Championship could be Solo Sikoa's first main roster title come SummerSlam 2024

Solo Sikoa made an unforgettable impact on his WWE main roster debut, costing Drew McIntyre his match against Roman Reigns at Clash at the Castle 2022. The Street Champ immediately became a force to be reckoned with on the main roster, acting as Reigns' Enforcer for more than a year. During that time, he defeated stars like John Cena, Kevin Owens, and AJ Styles and is now The Bloodline's leader.

Despite all this success in the top echelons of the card, Sikoa is yet to hold gold on RAW or SmackDown. This could all change this Saturday as he challenges Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam. In fact, by the end of the weekend, three out of four new-look Bloodline members could hold their first main roster gold given that Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga are set to challenge DIY for the WWE Tag Team Championship on SmackDown.

Should this come to pass, everyone will have no choice but to acknowledge the new Head of the Table.

#1. LA Knight is long overdue for a main roster championship in WWE

Since ditching his Max Dupri persona, LA Knight has consistently been one of the most popular superstars in WWE. The Megastar's rise in 2022 was so quick and meteoric that it forced Triple H and Co. to alter their long-term plans to showcase him. As such, the 41-year-old has interacted with almost every top act on the roster, proving every time that he can hang with anyone.

For all his success, one thing Knight is yet to achieve is winning a title on the main roster. He came close to ending Roman Reigns' historic championship run twice but ultimately fell short, and has otherwise been in non-title feuds. At SummerSlam 2024, The Megastar will be the overwhelming fan favorite to dethrone Logan Paul for the United States Championship.

Winning his first main roster gold on such a big stage would be a fitting reward for the 41-year-old star.
