9 Shows coming to WWE Network and Peacock this weekend - Money in the Bank 2024, another massive event, new special
WWE has had another busy week with RAW, SmackDown, and NXT all looking ahead to massive premium live events this weekend. In addition to what will make for a busy few days, the week itself was slightly above the new norm.
Monday was standard with an episode of RAW Talk, and Tuesday remained slow with just a week-old episode of NXT. Wednesday is slower than it once was with The Bump on break, as it featured a month-old edition of Monday Night RAW.
Thursday saw things pick up slightly, however. In addition to This Week in WWE, a new Best Of WWE compilation was added on-demand, highlighting the career of Cody Rhodes.
Nine full-length uploads will be added to the archives over the coming days. This includes two massive PLEs, a new special, and beyond. What's set to arrive on-demand on both platforms?
#9. The SmackDown LowDown will air
The SmackDown LowDown will return with a brand new episode on Saturday, July 6, beginning at 10 AM EST on both WWE Network and Peacock. Megan Morant and Scott Stanford will break down the action from SmackDown the night prior, with select interviews spliced in.
Last week's edition of the series is available on demand, and the interview portion can be seen in the video above. The talents involved were Tiffany Stratton, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa of DIY, and Naomi.
#8. Money in the Bank 2024 & #7. Countdown to Money in the Bank
This weekend, the big hook for WWE Network and Peacock will be the Money in the Bank. This show is set to air on Saturday, July 6, beginning at 7 PM EST.
Five matches have been confirmed for this upcoming show. These include two Money in the Bank Ladder Matches, a Bloodline-centered six-man tag team bout featuring Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn vs. Bron Breakker, and the World Championship match between Seth Rollins and Damian Priest.
Just prior to the PLE, there will be a Countdown special. It will begin at 5 PM EST, thus continuing the theme of a two-hour countdown. It isn't yet clear if a match will be on the lineup or not.
#6. NXT Heatwave & #5. Countdown to NXT Heatwave
Money in the Bank isn't the only PLE to air this weekend. The NXT brand will offer the Heatwave show on WWE Network and Peacock. The event will stream live on Sunday, July 7, at 7 PM EST.
The Heatwave card isn't the strongest WWE has offered, but it still features some compelling matches. These include Roxanne Perez vs. Lola Vice, a Fatal Four-Way Match for the NXT Championship, and Oba Femi vs. Wes Lee.
In addition to the main show, a Countdown to NXT Heatwave 2024 special will air before the Premium Live Event. The hour-long program will start at 6 PM and conclude just before the big show starts
#4. WWE Main Event & #3. Friday Night SmackDown, two recent shows, will air
Two shows that recently aired on Hulu and FOX will arrive on WWE Network and Peacock this weekend. Main Event, which first airs on Hulu, will have a two-week delay before it can arrive on the other streaming platforms. Meanwhile, SmackDown on FOX has a one-month delay.
Main Event from June 20, 2024, will be added to the archives on Saturday, July 6. The opening bout of the night saw Zoey Stark take on Ivy Nile. Meanwhile, the main event featured the New Catch Republic battling The Creed Brothers.
Friday Night SmackDown from June 7, 2024, will be available on-demand on Sunday, July 7, 2024. This show featured a Bloodline Anointment Ceremony and a massive Cody Rhodes match made official for Clash at the Castle: Scotland.
#2. NXT Level Up will stream
NXT's secondary show will return with a new episode this weekend. NXT Level Up will stream live at 10 PM EST on Friday, July 5. The show will air on WWE Network and Peacock immediately following SmackDown on FOX, but it won't be added to the on-demand archives for up to two weeks after airing.
The main event of the WWE show will see Uriah Connors take on Lucas Crusifino. Additionally, Wren Sinclair will battle the debuting Tyra Mae Steele, a real-life Olympian. Lastly, former NXT UK Tag Team Champion Josh Briggs will challenge Shiloh Hill in singles competition.
#1. This Is Awesome will return
This Is Awesome is set to stream this weekend. The newest edition of the popular series will arrive on WWE Network and Peacock on Friday, July 5, at around 10 AM EST, both on the live feed and in the archives.
The show, hosted by Greg Miller, features numerous talking heads discussing whatever theme a particular episode covers. This edition is titled This Is Awesome: Most Awesome Tag Teams, and it will highlight some of the best duos in company history. This includes The Dudleys, The Street Profits, The Usos, The Legion of Doom, The APA, and The Hart Foundation, among others.
