A broken tag team and looking for the manager - 4 confrontations that must take place on WWE SmackDown this week
Things are heating up on SmackDown on the way to SummerSlam in Cleveland. Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton are circling WWE Women's Champion Bayley. The Bloodline is doing the same to Cody Rhodes and his allies.
Andrade and Carmelo Hayes had a confrontation last week when Hayes interrupted Andrade's interview with Byron Saxton. They will face off on this week's SmackDown.
With things only intensifying each week, the following four confrontations must take place on this week's episode of SmackDown.
#4. Austin Theory must have words with Grayson Waller
Nothing has gone right for Austin Theory over the last month. Not only did he lose his WWE Tag Team Championship with Grayson Waller, but he's also been the center of several unfortunate incidents.
Waller has repeatedly pulled his supposed friend in harm's way during matches. He did so again when Jacob Fatu rushed the ring to wreak havoc.
The Aussie star pulled Theory into Fatu's path before he even hit the ring. Theory must stand up for himself and call out his tag team partner for his actions. The former United States Champion has given Waller the benefit of the doubt too many times.
#3. Chelsea Green should get her conversation with Nick Aldis
Chelsea Green waited patiently outside the office of SmackDown GM Nick Aldis last week. She had a complaint but could not bother the main decision-maker of the blue brand.
Other stars waited outside the office, including Pretty Deadly. LA Knight, however, came out of the room with a contract in hand, making it seem like Aldis was inside.
It was later disclosed that he wasn't present for that episode of SmackDown. Green will be on the warpath to complain about the temperature in the locker room or something else. Aldis should be ready.
#2. Logan Paul needs to man up and face LA Knight on SmackDown
As mentioned above, LA Knight exited Nick Aldis's office with a contract for SummerSlam. The Megastar has pursued Logan Paul and the United States Title, but Paul has rejected the notion at every turn.
Knight signed the contract and left the rest up to The Maverick. Since he won the title last November and has only defended it twice, Paul must show up and prove he's not a coward.
Using his superstar status can't save him from an extremely disappointing title reign. The crowd is hot for Knight to earn a significant win, and Paul must sign the contract on SmackDown.
#1. Cody Rhodes confronts the Bloodline after last week's attack on Randy Orton
Since WrestleMania, Rhodes has been battling the Bloodline with Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. They squared off a few times at PLEs and on every episode of SmackDown.
Solo Sikoa has orchestrated assaults on Jimmy Uso, Paul Heyman, Owens, and Orton since assuming control of the Bloodline. Last week, he forced The American Nightmare to watch as he directed his allies to obliterate The Viper.
Rhodes kept saying, "Take me instead," as if he was watching a child getting hurt. He'll want to make Solo and the Bloodline pay for taking out his mentor.
