A hero who saved a city; larger than life NFL star - 5 celebrities WWE should try to book instead of Sexyy Redd

Sexyy Red returns to WWE when CW broadcasts NXT from St. Louis on October 8. Before that, Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton showed up on RAW and then in NXT to cozy up with Trick Willams. The NBA star facilitated the NXT Championship contract signing between Williams and Ethan Page for their title match on the CW Premiere on October 1.

In 2024 alone, WWE has utilized professional boxer Terrance Crawford, NBA players Jalen Brunson and Haliburton, and musician Jelly Roll. NFL players Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson backed up the LWO at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia.

Redd was involved in controversy over the weekend the last time she appeared on NXT. With so many celebrity fans—and some who have already appeared for the company—WWE should try to utilize these five famous fans in NXT and on the main roster instead of the rapper.

#5. George Kittle and Bayley are friends

He may be four weeks into the NFL season, but San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle is a massive fan of professional wrestling.

The star owns many Lucha masks and is friends with former women's champion Bayley. Kittle appeared at WrestleMania 39 to help Pat McAfee against The Miz.

Since the NFL season is in its early stages, why not try to get one of the more famous fans into an NXT or WWE ring? He's big enough to take and give bumps and knows how the business works.

#4. Lexis King could bring hard rock to NXT

Before his current relationship with the Meta-Four, Lexis King feuded with Eddy Thorpe over musical tastes. Thorpe started incorporating his hobby as a DJ into his act. King is a classic rock/heavy metal fan and didn't think EDM was music.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Since King represents a genre against Thorpe, Ava or Shawn Michaels should try to bring back Corey Taylor of Slipknot or Poppy. Both were instrumental in NXT history, providing themes and performances. King could invite one of the musicians to a show.

Either could provide a Halloween Havoc theme and show King that even if he doesn't like that music, it's still a form of expression. It could be a Grinch-like journey for King to turn his face since he already teased doing so against Oro Mensah.

#3. Good Morning Football's Kyle Brandt is a huge WWE Fan

Another NFL connection that would be easy to book involves Real World alum Kyle Brandt. He was a cast member on the Real World: Chicago and currently hosts Good Morning Football on the NFL Network.

Brandt routinely references '80s wrestling and also follows the current product. His energy on set would easily translate to the wrestling ring.

He's a Chicago-based celebrity who could cross paths with CM Punk or The Miz. It would also be an easy crossover promotion between the WWE and the NFL.

#2. Actor Stephen Amell has several ties to wrestling

Former Arrow actor Stephen Amell isn't a stranger to appearing for WWE. While portraying Green Arrow, he appeared at SummerSlam in 2015.

He teamed with Neville (AEW's PAC) against Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes (as Stardust). Rhodes later appeared on Arrow as a villain. Arrow was one of the CW's most successful shows during its run.

Amell pursued other projects when it ended, including the wrestling show Heels. With NXT heading to CW, why not rekindle an earlier relationship? Amell was one of the few celebrities who looked credible in the ring.

CM Punk was featured in Heels. Having Amell come back would be easy to book. He could cross paths with Rhodes again or factor into an angle with Punk. How would The Best in the World respond if Drew McIntyre attacked him?

#1. Gabriel Iglesias has already appeared in WWE this year

Stand-up comedian Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias appeared for WWE a few times. He crossed paths with the Miz and Maryse in one encounter, mocking the A-Lister.

Iglesias also showed up earlier this year, interviewing Raquel Rodriguez after she won a battle royal for a spot in the Elimination Chamber match.

WWE could book him to hang out with Jey Uso or Bayley since all three hail from California. Iglesias would also be a good person to use against Dominik Mysterio or alongside the LWO or NXT's Lola Vice.
