Absent former world champion, Scorned member of famous family - 6 WWE stars who can help Roman Reigns against The Bloodline following SmackDown

WWE Friday Night SmackDown aired last night on FOX, and it featured more of the incredible Bloodline saga. This time, a rare incident took place where Roman Reigns was assaulted.

It all started with Tama Tonga and Solo Sikoa coming to the ring with the Ula Fala around the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief's neck. This led to Roman Reigns coming out and fighting off both men. In the process, Reigns took back the neckpiece, but it was short-lived.

Jacob Fatu returned to television for the first time since SummerSlam and laid Reigns out. From there, the three Bloodline members viciously destroyed The OTC with a Shield-style Powerbomb through the announcers table.

It is quite clear that Roman cannot handle this new Bloodline on his own, especially with Tonga Loa and potentially Hikuleo waiting in the wings. This article will take a look at six stars who could potentially step up and help Roman against Solo Sikoa's dangerous stable.

#6 Montez Ford & #5 Angelo Dawkins, The Street Profits are chasing the WWE Tag Team Title

The Street Profits is one of the best tag teams in WWE today. Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford have held the EVOLVE, NXT Tag Team, RAW Tag Team, and SmackDown Tag Team titles since joining the promotion.

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins aren't exactly strangers to The Bloodline. They have had issues with the group in the past, especially back when The Usos were the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.

The Street Profits has a title opportunity next week on the blue brand. Regardless of whether the duo defeats Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga, they can certainly stand by Roman's side to take down this new group, even if there may be some residual animosity due to the past.

#4 AJ Styles could return as a babyface

AJ Styles is one of the greatest in-ring workers of all time. In WWE, he is a multi-time world champion and has even held tag team gold. He has also been incredibly successful in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, TNA Wrestling, and ROH.

The Phenomenal One hasn't been seen on WWE television in many weeks. His last appearance was when he lost in an "I Quit" Match to Cody Rhodes. Since then, Styles has been absent from SmackDown, but many expect him back soon.

Instead of returning as a villain, AJ could come back as a babyface and unite with Roman. Despite their past, Styles has had more issues with Solo Sikoa than Reigns himself. Plus, AJ could also bring The Good Brothers, and Nick Aldis could book eight-man tag team matches between the two sides.

#3 Tommaso Ciampa & #2 Johnny Gargano, DIY likely wants revenge on The Bloodline

DIY is a tag team on WWE Friday Night SmackDown consisting of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa. They've held tag team gold both on NXT and the main roster. Moreover, they are both former NXT Champions.

Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano certainly have a bone to pick with The Bloodline. The pair were the WWE Tag Team Champions until the SmackDown before SummerSlam. On the show, Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga won the gold, albeit thanks in large part to Solo Sikoa and Tonga Loa.

They've been victims of The Bloodline and the numbers game they offer, so there is a chance that Gargano and Ciampa will stand by Roman's side to take the crew down. While the visual of DIY and The Head of the Table standing together is an unusual one, it could ultimately work out.

#1 Jimmy Uso could return to television after being assaulted in April

While DIY and The Street Profits are two of the best teams going today, The Usos are arguably the greatest team in WWE history. Jimmy and Jey had the longest run ever with tag team gold in the company before splitting up last year. Jey has found a lot of success since then, while Jimmy's has been more moderate.

Jimmy Uso was part of The Bloodline alongside his younger brother Solo Sikoa, but the latter betrayed him alongside the debuting Tama Tonga on the WWE SmackDown after WrestleMania. In fact, they injured Jimmy and took him out of action.

Out of everybody on this list, Roman and Jimmy seem to have the best relationship, despite how The Tribal Chief treated the 38-year-old at times. As a result, Roman getting the Anoa'i family member back by his side feels practical and could happen sooner rather than later.
