Absent star to finally return, NXT call up? - 4 possible replacements for Braun Strowman on WWE RAW

Braun Strowman is one of the most impressive big men in modern WWE history. He joined the main roster through The Wyatt Family and later went on to become a world champion, tag team champion, and headliner of various events.

The powerful star had to take a lot of time away from the ring due to a serious neck injury, but he returned a handful of months ago following WrestleMania. Unfortunately, it appears as if Braun may be on the shelf again soon.

The Monster of All Monsters recently revealed that he has been a little off-step lately and this is due to a knee problem of some kind. As a result, he will be seeing a doctor and if the injury is bad, this could mean Strowman will require surgery.

Surgery, of course, means the former Universal Champion will have to endure another prolonged absence from the ring. This also means that Monday Night RAW fans will be without their resident big man. This article will take a look at a handful of powerful stars who could potentially replace Braun if he does indeed need time off.

Below are four possible replacements for Braun Strowman on WWE RAW.

#4. Omos could become WWE RAW's resident big man

Omos is an imposing big man. In fact, he is known as The Nigerian Giant to WWE fans, and given his incredible size, that nickname is well earned. Beyond just his size, Omos is known for once holding the RAW Tag Team Titles alongside AJ Styles.

The big man hasn't been around on WWE television in quite some time. His most recent match came in the form of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal during WrestleMania weekend. Before that, it was at the Royal Rumble.

Many fans are hoping to see Omos back on television and with Braun gone, this could be how Omos makes his return. Who knows, MVP could potentially return alongside him, although his future is in question after recent remarks made on social media.

#3. Oba Femi could join the main roster

Oba Femi is arguably the future of WWE. He is a NIL athlete who took to wrestling like a duck takes to water. He is powerful, explosive, and just outright dominant on NXT. This has led to fans loving him, even if he's a heel on the white and gold brand.

Just like Omos, Oba is Nigerian, and just like the big man, Femi has proven to be dominant. In fact, he is so dominant that Femi won the WWE NXT North American Championship and has defended the title regularly without much fear of losing.

While Femi is still extremely new to pro wrestling, a move to the main roster to fill Braun's shoes isn't unrealistic. Braun himself was new upon being called up and Femi has already proven himself to be a fantastic wrestler. Could he take over Monday nights?

#2. Odyssey Jones could finally appear on television

Odyssey Jones is a relatively new pro wrestler, having only been competing for a handful of years. He received the bulk of his training during the pandemic and had a brief run on WWE NXT.

Interestingly, Jones has been part of the main roster for a few years now. He was called up as part of the 2024 WWE Draft but has yet to appear on television. Some believed he would join The Pride, but that hasn't happened either.

If Jones isn't going to join that stable, perhaps taking over Braun Strowman's spot on Monday Night RAW could be the right move. He is big and agile, something Braun can relate to. He's also charismatic and likable, so this may be his opportunity to finally be showcased.

#1. Bobby Lashley could switch brands

Bobby Lashley is a decorated former WWE Champion who has excelled in amateur wrestling, amateur boxing, mixed martial arts, and pro wrestling. He is the leader of The Pride, a group also featuring Angelo Dawkins, Montez Ford, and B-Fab.

Unfortunately, the leader of The Pride has been out of action for a while now. He was pulled from the 2024 King of the Ring Tournament, allegedly because he suffered some kind of injury while training.

Information is scarce regarding his injury and return. If The All-Mighty is ready to make a comeback, however, the former world champion could ditch his stablemates and SmackDown by moving to RAW. Who knows, he could chase one more world title reign.
