Adam Pearce to officially remove popular WWE star from RAW after chaotic turn of events? Exploring the chancesĀ

This week's WWE RAW was a noteworthy episode that had several memorable moments. However, none was more shocking than Damian Priest costing Finn Balor and JD McDonagh their Tag Team Titles in the show's closing minutes.

Priest's issues with Balor go a long way back, when the latter betrayed and kicked him out of Judgment Day at SummerSlam 2024. Since then, they have been a thorn in each other's side, with their feud still going strong even after months.

The rivalry went a notch higher on this week's RAW, where The Archer of Infamy interfered to cost Finn Balor and JD McDonagh their WWE Tag Team Championships to The War Raiders. Priest took out Balor with a steel chair, which turned the tide in favor of Ivar and Erik. However, his actions may not go unnoticed by RAW GM Adam Pearce, who might be forced to take stern action.

As RAW heads to Netflix next month, Pearce may want to bring things under control by trading Damian Priest off to SmackDown in exchange for some other notable name. This could also provide a breather to Priest and Balor's rivalry as they could focus on other feuds and ensure their storyline doesn't get stale.

Their potential face-off in the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble match would also generate more buzz under such circumstances than it would if they were on the same brand and regularly interacting with each other.

Finn Balor and Damian Priest failed to win the World Heavyweight Title at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event

This past Saturday night, Balor and Priest shared a ring when they challenged Gunther for his coveted World Heavyweight Title at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event. Though the match was initially slated to be a singles affair between Balor and Gunther, Priest was later added to the mix by Adam Pearce.

Things ended on a predictable note as The Ring General retained his gold by pinning Finn Balor. This could potentially mean Priest could still get a shot at Gunther's title down the line, as he wasn't involved in the finish.

Even Priest and Gunther's match at Survivor Series 2024 ended under controversial circumstances, as Balor interfered to attack his former Judgment Day stablemate. It remains to be seen if WWE plans to book a rematch between The Archer of Infamy and The Ring General on RAW or a future PLE.
