Adam Pearce to punish 12-time WWE champion on Monday Night RAW due to their public issues? Exploring the possibility
WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce might punish a 12-time WWE Tag Team Champion for calling him out publicly on social media. The star in question is Xavier Woods of The New Day. Woods rubbed Pearce the wrong way on social media, accusing him of mismanaging the tag team division on the red brand.
Woods pointed out that the current World Tag Team Champions, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh, defended their titles nearly 70 days after winning it and said that he rectifies things only when it suits him. However, Pearce shot back by questioning The New Day's wrestling abilities, reminding them that they lost their last tag team match against The Alpha Academy in around 30 seconds. Pearce asked Woods and Kingston to come and meet him in his office rather than ranting on X.
Adam Pearce might now look to punish Xavier Woods, and Kofi Kingston may or might not be affected by it. Woods might also face temporary suspension from RAW for causing disciplinary issues, and because of this, Kofi Kingston might also have to stay away from WWE TV for a while.
The New Day turned heel recently when they shunned their third member, Big E, for leaving them alone after suffering a neck injury nearly two and a half years ago. The former WWE Champion showed up on the 10th anniversary of The New Day on the December 2 episode of RAW.
However, his return was met coldly by Woods and Kingston, who chided him for staying away for so long. Big E even pitched to be their manager until he was medically cleared to compete. However, Woods and Kingston didn't entertain his pitch and asked him to leave.
Later, the duo set aside their long-standing differences, which had been building up for some time, and shook hands. On last week's episode of RAW, the New Day showed up again, but their words were drowned amid the boos of the fans, who weren't happy with the duo's conduct with Big E.
The New Day might cost The Judgment Day their WWE World Tag Team Championship on RAW
Finn Balor and JD McDonagh will defend their WWE World Tag Team titles against The War Raiders on RAW this week. Moreover, Adam Pearce has ordered that The Judgment Day would be banned from ringside during the match.
This gives The New Day an opportunity to interfere during Balor and McDonagh's match against The War Raiders and cost them the title. After doing so, Woods and Kingston could square off against The Judgment Day first and then challenge The War Raiders for the World Tag Team Championship.
