AEW Double or Nothing 2019: Preview and last-minute Predictions | AEW PPV
Let's roll the dice, make bank, cash in your chips and maybe you'll hit the jackpot because it's AEW Double or Nothing and it's coming this weekend on May 25, 2019, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Viva Las Vegas, Indeed. The only thing missing from this show are Elvis Presley impersonators running around on the Las Vegas strip. Maybe, they'll invade the Casino Battle Royale during the Buy-In.
What happens in Vegas may not stay in Vegas this time around. All Elite Wrestling is putting on their first major PPV event and it's sure to rock Sin City. Because The City of Lights is about to get energized with a Superkick Party, brothers at war and the ultimate battle between Alpha and Omega.
So many interesting matches on the card. So little time. Let's get to it. Here are the last minute predictions for all the matches for AEW Double or Nothing.
#9 Kip Sabian vs Sammy Guevara
This is probably the first match on the card and should set the trend for the rest of the night. Like the opening act for a hot band, this match has to deliver. Kip Sabian is one of the brighter talents on the independent scene. He's well known amongst the British fans and has been prominently featured on the Road to AEW Double or Nothing YouTube Series.
On the other hand, Sammy Guevara was the AAA Cruiserweight Champion and has appeared on Being The Elite numerous times. The match should be full of high-flying action and near spots.
Prediction: Sammy Guevara
#8 21-man Casino Battle Royale for an AEW World Championship opportunity
This match is really what wrestling fans are looking forward to on the professional wrestling circuit. It has a lot of young exciting talent as well as experienced wrestlers. The confirmed wrestlers for this match so far are Sonny Kiss, Brandon Cutler, Ace Romero, Glacier, Brian Pillman Jr, Sunny Daze, MJF, Joey Janela, Dustin Thomas, Billy Gunn, Jimmy Havoc, Michael Nakazawa, Jungle Boy, Isiah Kassidy, Marq Queen, Luchasaurus and Shawn Spears
That's 17 of the 21 entrants confirmed so far. This leaves room for a lot of surprises. The winner of this match gets a shot at the new AEW Championship. Their opponent will be the winner of the Kenny Omega vs Chris Jericho match later in the night. Personally, with the Hangman Page vs Pac match being cancelled, I have a feeling that Hangman Page will be the lucky #21 entrant. Had the match not been canceled, MJF would have been my choice.
Prediction: Hangman Page
