AEW Rumors: Jim Ross provides new details about AEW on TNT
What's the story?
AEW's Senior Advisor and Lead Commentator, Jim Ross was a special guest on "The Steve Austin Show". Among the topics discussed, Ross shared some new details for the airdate of AEW's weekly television show on TNT.
In case you didn't know...
After much speculation and more rumors, along with prior comments made from JR, we were given a rough estimate as to when AEW on TNT would make its debut. Logically, AEW will not be going head to head with WWE. However, that may change at some point down the road once AEW gains more momentum and hit their peak.
The heart of the matter
Jim Ross gave the wrestling fans some new and interesting information on AEW's upcoming debut on TNT. While Ross is not 100% sure what the exact date will be, he has heard a couple of different stories.
"It's early October. ... I think it's going to air on a Wednesday night, but that hasn't been confirmed to me. Tuesdays and Thursdays are big basketball nights on TNT, and we sure as hell don't want to dance around their basketball schedule. Logically, by process of elimination, it looks like it's going to be Wednesday."
We should also note that AEW has recently trademark names for "Tuesday Night Dynamite" and "Wednesday Night Dynamite". This certainly adds more gasoline to the fire and gives us a bigger idea as to what the name of the television show will be, along with potential airdate.
What's next?
AEW's next big event will be airing on Saturday, July 13th. "Fight for the Fallen" will be live from the Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida. The show will be streaming for free on B/R Live for fans in the United States. All other wrestling fans outside the US can tune in to the show via FiteTV for $12.99. The main event is expected to be a Tag Team Match featuring The Young Bucks versus Cody and Dustin Rhodes.
