AJ Styles and 4 other WWE Superstars who must switch brands after Bad BloodÂ
Now that the Bad Blood 2024 weekend has arrived, it's time to discuss that there are several WWE Superstars who could benefit from a brand switch after the PLE.
Heading into the highly-anticipated event, WWE has booked numerous intriguing storylines featuring top and rising stars across RAW and SmackDown. Of course, the incredibly stacked roster means that not every wrestler will be booked as per the fans' expectations. But in some stars' cases, a brand switch could serve as a viable momentum boost.
With that said, here are five WWE Superstars who must move to a different brand after Bad Blood.
#5. Two-time WWE Champion AJ Styles (should move to RAW)
AJ Styles' booking ever since his split from Omos has left a lot to be desired. Granted, he's preparing to wind down his full-time wrestling career, but that doesn't excuse WWE from keeping him as a regular fixture on TV.
From his underrated feud with LA Knight to two 'phenomenal' matches with Cody Rhodes, the two-time WWE Champion has proven that stealing the show is still among his strongest suits. So, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to state that he's owed a solid final run at, or near, the top of the card.
But with The Bloodline story and the WWE Championship picture being too crowded, it appears that Styles' best bet at securing a sustained push is by immediately moving to RAW. From Bron Breakker to Gunther and CM Punk, he has a lot of dream matches already lined up on the other side.
#4 and #3 AOP's Akam and Rezar (should move to NXT)
The men's tag-team division across the main roster and NXT isn't quite healthy at this time. That is where AOP can save the day, by moving to Tuesdays.
There's no denying that The Final Testament started off on a promising note. However, since WrestleMania XL, the villainous faction's relevancy has taken a major hit. While Karrion Kross is finding new life with his 'instigating' gimmick, it's about time Akam and Rezar branch off to their own lane.
A temporary move to NXT would not only help breathe life into the brand's current tag-team scene but also give AOP an opportunity to regain momentum as unstoppable agents of chaos. That might be difficult to achieve on RAW or SmackDown as both shows already have dominant heel factions at the top.
#2 Logan Paul (should move to RAW)
With barely over two years of experience as a WWE Superstar, The Maverick has already established himself as one of the finest in-ring performers in the company today.
With Crown Jewel 2024 on the horizon, it's almost a guarantee that Paul will be making his return shortly. Interestingly, there aren't many top-level stars on SmackDown whom he hasn't faced already. From Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes to Randy Orton and LA Knight, The social media megastar has stolen the show with them all.
Therefore, a move to RAW seems like the logical next step in the Prime co-founder's wrestling arc. The possibilities of a hard-hitting 'banger' against Sheamus, a sports entertainment extravaganza against Jey Uso, and an alliance with Dominik Mysterio are beyond stellar.
#1 Drew McIntyre (should move to SmackDown)
Drew McIntyre and CM Punk have been feuding since January and have only amped up the heat over the past couple months. The Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood is all set to be an impactful climax of their storied saga. Now, the question is, 'How does Drew McIntyre go from one captivating rivalry to the next?'
The answer to that question is a brand switch. The blue brand is loaded with main-event-level babyfaces. The Scottish Warrior could jump into a feud with Cody Rhodes, considering he was the last guy to pin Rhodes in a singles match.
Or, he could revisit his program with Roman Reigns, which would be interesting since their roles have been reversed. In short, the possibilities for indulging in a headline-making rivalry are endless for McIntyre on WWE SmackDown.
