Aleister Black has finally made his WWE RAW debut. The former NXT Champion faced Elias on RAW last night and made an emphatic statement on his first main roster match. There were no nerves from the seasoned veteran as he beat Elias following the Black Mass.
Some WWE fans may be unaware of who Aleister Black is because they don't have the time to watch NXT. That's where we step in. Let's take a look at 5 quick facts you need to know.
#5 He's married to Zelina Vega

In late 2018, the news broke that Zelina Vega and former NXT Campion Aleister Black had gotten married. The couple had been together for a while and have a cat together.
In the past, Aleister Black has posted videos of himself and Zelina Vega training. After Black's main roster debut, both he and Vega are now on RAW and SmackDown Live respectively.
#4 Huge NJPW fan

Even though he's now with WWE and one of the most promising talents to debut on the main roster recently, Aleister Black didn't grow up as a WWE fan per se. He's always maintained that his first love was puroresu and he grew up watching the likes of Antonio Inoki in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Interestingly, the first full WWE match Black watched was The Rock versus Triple H at WrestleMania 16.
#3 He was trained by another current NXT star

One of the people who was the most influential in training Aleister Black is NXT Superstar Kassius Ohno who has also helped train other WWE Superstars like Drew Gulak and the 'Swiss Cyborg' Cesaro.
Before both Black and Onho signed with WWE (second time for Ohno), they tagged in the independent scene as Heroes Never Die, finding a modicum of success.
