Anointed successor, return of classic storyline & more - 4 things that will happen if Becky Lynch leaves WWE

Becky Lynch lost her Women's World Championship rematch with Liv Morgan on WWE RAW inside a Steel Cage. The Man was defeated in controversial circumstances yet again, being "accidentally" cost by interference from Dominik Mysterio. This was a repeat of the opening match at the King and Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event when Dirty Dom also inadvertently helped Morgan capture the championship.

Amid raging rumors about her contract situation, Lynch was visibly emotional for what could be her last WWE match in a long while. She later shared a post on X captioned "To be continued," further fuelling rumors that she's stepping away from the company. If she is indeed done with the Endeavor-owned promotion, the former Women's World Champion's absence will have some deeply felt effects.

Here are four things that will happen if Becky Lynch leaves WWE:

#4: Lyra Valkyria will get an instant push in Becky Lynch's absence

Becky Lynch is one of, if not THE greatest female superstars in WWE history. Any time she steps away, a huge gap opens up atop the women's division, meaning the company needs to reshuffle the roster to cover her absence. If she leaves the company entirely, a temporary cover from another seasoned headliner will not be enough. A new star will have to step up, and one might already be prepared.

A section of fans see Lyra Valkyria as The Man's successor and recent history suggests Triple H and co see her the same way. Not only did Valkyria come out on top in an NXT Women's Title feud with her iconic countrywoman, but she has been closely associated with the latter on the main roster.

After seemingly receiving Lynch's nod of approval right before what could be the latter's last WWE match, the 27-year-old might soon fill some big shoes.

#3: Becky Lynch could lead a women's revolution outside of WWE

Becky Lynch was one of the leading figures in WWE's Women's Revolution in the mid-2010s. The Irish Lass Kicker made lots of history, becoming the first SmackDown Women's champion, the longest-reigning RAW Women's champion, and the only woman to hold both titles simultaneously during her stellar career. She also, of course, famously won the first all-women WrestleMania main event.

The likes of Saraya and Mercedes Mone left the company and made waves in other parts of the world, but it can be argued that neither had Lynch's star power. Should The Man take her talents to STARDOM, AEW, and other promotions, she could bring unprecedented viewership to women's wrestling outside the Stamford-based promotion.

Dream matches against the likes of Mayu Iwatani, Jamie Hayter, and Jordynne Grace could usher in another women's revolution, this time outside of WWE.

#2: Becky Lynch could take a break from pro wrestling to pursue other ventures

Becky Lynch has been one of the most consistent workhorses in WWE for much of the past decade. The Man has rarely taken any days off, only being absent when injured or pregnant. Despite her dedication to the company, the former Women's World Champion has still taken on projects in her downtime because of her transcendent fame.

If she doesn't renew with the Stamford-based promotion, Lynch could take a break from the business altogether. The 37-year-old could pursue other ventures away from the limelight, or pursue a career in Hollywood like the likes of John Cena, Batista, and The Rock. Big Time Becks could be about to transcend the industry itself!

#1: Seth Rollins eventually leaves WWE

For years, Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins have been WWE's biggest power couple. With multiple world titles between them, the duo have been pillars of the product, especially in the RAW main event scene. Since becoming a couple, the company has taken care to keep them on the same brand to ease their personal lives.

If Lynch leaves the company, how much longer until Rollins follows her through the door? The Visionary's reported five-year deal renewal earlier this year could complicate that plan, but one can never say never to the possibility of a requested release or contract buyout by Tony Khan. Otherwise, The Architect would have to wait out his current deal before joining his wife.

It's highly unlikely, but stranger things have happened!
