WWE/NXT News: Austin Aries misses NXT Live Event
Former TNA and current NXT superstar Austin Aries missed an NXT Live event unexpectedly last night at Indianapolis, Indiana which he was advertised for. The reason behind his absence is unknown currently but it has already kick-started all of kinds of speculations.
He was scheduled to face Hideo Itami in the event, who came back from a 14 month-long injury just a few days ago and is yet to make his on-screen return. Aries was replaced by Angelo Dawkins for the match.
The former TNA X-Division champion is currently involved in a feud with No Way Jose which started with the anticipated heel turn from the former TNA world champion last month.
We should note here that he was missing from the recent NXT TV tapings as well, which took place this past Wednesday at Full Sail University. Although, Jose continued the feud against Aries with a promo that is expected to air sometime in future.
Aries who was let go by TNA back in June last year when his contract with the company expired, made his NXT debut in March this year. He originally debuted as a face and has been part of a few short term feuds against stars like Baron Corbin and Shinsuke Nakamura so far.
