Award-winning star, current champions - 5 NXT Superstars who must debut on the WWE RAW on Netflix premiere episodeĀ
The highly-anticipated Netflix premiere of WWE RAW is merely days away. With the show shaping up to be a grand event, the company has the perfect opportunity to showcase its future stars.
Ahead of the January 6, 2025, edition of RAW, WWE has implemented the 'Transfer Window' policy. As a result, superstars on all three brands can show up anywhere, with the respective General Managers' approval. Since NXT is part of the Transfer Window, it would help the brand a lot if some of its stars got the spotlight on the first RAW on Netflix.
That said, here are five current stars on the developmental brand who must make their main roster debut on the much-awaited episode of RAW.
#5. Lola Vice
NXT's women's division receives rave reviews almost every week. One of its main strengths is the fact that in addition to the stacked main-event picture, the midcard scene is packed with promising stars too. Lola Vice is one of those prospects.
Over the last two years, she has made remarkable improvements. Her outstanding in-ring showings aside, she has been an unstoppable force in the polarizing 'Underground' fights. So, it's no surprise that WWE presented her with the award for the 'Most Improved' NXT star of 2024.
While Lola Vice has a lot to accomplish on NXT, she's perfectly ready to make the jump to the main roster. She has already feuded with Shayna Baszler and Natalya. So, if she's next in line to get a call-up, the first WWE RAW on Netflix would be an ideal launching pad for her wrestling future.
#4. and #3. Current WWE NXT Tag Team Champions Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer and Axiom)
A majority of WWE fans would agree that the booking of the tag team divisions on RAW and SmackDown this year was rather underwhelming. But when it comes to NXT, the duos division was more than just 'fine,' and there are two rising stars to thank for that - Nathan Frazer and Axiom.
Known as Fraxiom, the rivals-turned-allies leave the fans in awe every time they compete in a tag team bout. Thus, their lengthy, and ongoing, reign as NXT's Tag Team Champions is as well-earned as it's entertaining. The fact that they keep finding ways to overcome the growing differences between them makes their matches all the more enthralling.
Thus, as a reward for their fantastic work in 2024, WWE should consider putting Fraxiom in a high-octane match on RAW's Netflix debut. This move would put the spotlight on NXT gold and give the fans a look at the two gifted stars of tomorrow. Furthermore, WWE could have a segment between Frazer and his mentor, Seth Rollins, who himself would be competing against someone he idolized back in the day: CM Punk.
#2. Sol Ruca
For those unaware, the current WWE women's roster is filled to the brim with stars with great potential. So, that makes it even more impressive that Sol Ruca manages to stand out among the rest despite her limited experience.
Her incredible combo of strength and agility has made her one of the most cheered acts on NXT. So, it's no surprise that she recently main evented a premium live event. As of now, all signs point to her having a bright future on the main roster, a run that should start on January 6, 2025.
With a possibly unprecedented number of wrestling fans, mostly casuals, tuning in for RAW's Netflix debut, it could mark the perfect opportunity for the 25-year-old fan-favorite athlete to make a lasting impression. Her signature move, the Sol Snatcher, could easily attain the virality of the RKO.
#1. Ethan Page
Ethan Page recently regained his smile following a heinous attack on Je'von Evans. Now, WWE has the opportunity to add to his happiness by having him perform on the Netflix premiere of RAW.
Despite being an NXT star, Page is ready for the main roster. Over the last five years, he has wrestled across the independent circuit, TNA, and AEW. As a result, he has had enough time to not only refine his in-ring game but also his promo chops and on-screen personality. He could easily thrive as an upper midcard heel.
It's true that All Ego has already appeared on RAW. However, that was merely a backstage segment. On January 6, he must kickstart his main roster run, and the Transfer Window could help with that. Moreover, with RAW returning to its three-hour format, a credible heel like Page would add a lot to the show.
