Batista's retirement match at WrestleMania 32?, WWE legend wants dream match
With a dearth in top talents in WWE’s roster and WrestleMania fast approaching, speculations are running wild about WWE bringing in some big names to add some star power for the show in Dallas.
According to reports from Inquistr, the plans being chalked out suggest Batista’s in-ring return at WrestleMania 32. Batista himself has been open about being available for a return and his next stint would most probably be his final run in the company.
Batista earlier stated that he would jump to an opportunity to work a match with The Rock if the lucrative offer came along his way.
”At this point, you’re more likely to see [The Rock and I] in the ring together. If you flash back to WrestleMania XX, that would be the only time. I don’t have any plans right now to return to the ring or to do a film with Dwayne, but I would jump at the chance for either opportunity.,” Batista said.
As reported earlier, The Rock would not be a part of WrestleMania 32’s in-ring festivities due to insurance issues having cropped up regarding a film he is starring in. That leaves Batista with one possible opponent that WWE is reportedly planning of pitting him up against.
And that opponent is none other than the ‘Beast’ himself Brock Lesnar. It has been speculated that the matchup between the Beast and the Animal would be Batista’s final match in the WWE.
WWE Hall Of Famer and legendary announcer Jim Ross was in favour of this match and backed it up by saying that a heel Batista vs a face Lesnar makes the utmost sense – which would sell tickets like hot cakes.
This is what Jim had to say:
“Hey, I got an idea for you: what about Batista, the heel, coming back and taking on Brock Lesnar, the babyface, at WrestleMania [32] in April in Dallas? I could live with that main event, a red hot Batista coming back and urinating all over the fans and being a big star and being very arrogant and full of himself and being a badass, believing his clippings and he wants to take on the biggest dog in the yard. I don’t dislike that match.”
The WWE Creative better be listening to the legend as it sure sounds like a promising angle indeed. Lesnar too is without an opponent for WM, and getting back Batista for a dream match is best for business. At this moment, all of these are just rumors, but ones that make so much sense that it might end up being a sure shot reality.
