Bayley's next challenger, dual branded stable dominates RAW too? - 4 possible directions for new three-person faction formed on WWE SmackDown

WWE Friday Night SmackDown aired several hours ago. This week's edition of the blue brand was the final episode before SummerSlam 2024 and thus most of the focus was on the upcoming Premium Live Event.

There were a few big moments that went beyond hyping up The Biggest Party Of The Summer, however, including a new faction seemingly forming. This was courtesy of a Women's Tag Team Championship match where The Unholy Union put their tag team title on the line against Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.

The former champions seemingly had the match won when suddenly Blair Davenport showed up. She attacked the challengers, resulting in a disqualification. From there, Blair, Isla Dawn, and Alba Fyre brutally laid out Belair and Cargill.

This enhanced Unholy Union had been teased in the background for several weeks now. After all this time, it appears a new faction has formed.

Below are four possible directions for the new faction featuring Blair Davenport and The Unholy Union following WWE SmackDown.

#4. This new stable could compete on both WWE RAW and SmackDown

WWE has a lot of factions, but there has especially been a recent influx of trios in the women's division. RAW, for example, has Damage CTRL, of course, alongside Sonya Deville's new stable. There is also The Party Birds, which is a nickname given to Lyra Valkyria's new alliance with Kayden Carter and Katana Chance.

SmackDown has The Big 3, plus other two-person alliances in the WWE Women's Tag Team division. Notably, however, this new stable features two RAW stars in Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre, and a SmackDown Superstar in Blair Davenport.

In what could be a fun direction, the three could compete on RAW and SmackDown moving forward. As long as the title remains around Isla and Alba's waists, they can go to either show. If Triple H rules Blair can join them, the three can really take over the main roster.

#3. The trio could feud with the Big 3 on SmackDown

As noted, WWE Friday Night SmackDown has a special faction called The Big 3. The group consists of former WrestleMania headliner Bianca Belair, former world champion Naomi, and one of the biggest stars in women's wrestling in Jade Cargill.

Bianca and Jade's issues with the new WWE faction have already been laid out, but Naomi is very likely to get involved beyond just her relationship with Belair and Cargill. She and Davenport have been routinely feuding on SmackDown almost since Blair debuted on the blue brand.

Moving forward, the two trios could clash on Friday Night SmackDown. This could lead to various singles and tag team matches, but the ultimate payoff would be a Six-Woman Tag Team Match. Given that Survivor Series WarGames isn't too far away, who knows how far this feud could go?

#2. They could challenge for more gold

Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre are no strangers to gold. Not only are they the reigning WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, but they also held the NXT Tag Team Titles together. Additionally, Alba is a former NXT UK Women's Champion.

Blair, on the other hand, is yet to have a title reign in WWE. While she came close to winning titles on more than one occasion, she never has managed to capture a belt. Now, however, that could change. In fact, the entire focus of the group could be to claim more gold.

More specifically, Blair could target Bayley. Supposing that The Role Model retains her title over Nia Jax at SummerSlam, Bayley will need new competition. That competition could be the intense and cruel Blair Davenport with The Unholy Union watching her back.

#1. Blair Davenport and The Unholy Union could feud with Damage CTRL

Damage CTRL is back! The WWE faction had missed a handful of weeks after an attack by the combination of Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark, and Shayna Baszler. Now, however, the group has returned and they're seeking revenge.

Interestingly, the combination of IYO SKY, Dakota Kai, and Kairi Sane may have returned as babyfaces. The trio of former WWE champions were all business when targeting their rivals, a group of heels fans are already starting to detest. The feud is an interesting one, to say the least.

With that being said, Kairi Sane and Dakota Kai have made it clear they want the Women's Tag Team Title. This could mean that Damage CTRL and this new and expanded Unholy Union could clash in the future. Two excellent stables feuding should produce memorable matches and segments.
