Becky Lynch to attack major champion; rivalry renewed? - 5 feuds The Man could return to WWE for

Becky Lynch has not competed in a match since the May 27 edition of WWE RAW. The veteran lost to Liv Morgan in a Steel Cage Match for the Women's World Championship and has not been seen since.

Lynch won a Battle Royal on the April 22 edition of RAW to capture the vacant Women's World Championship after Rhea Ripley was injured. She lost the title to Morgan at King and Queen of the Ring in Saudi Arabia and then fell short in her rematch. The former champion's contract with the promotion reportedly expired earlier this year, and she has yet to sign a new deal with the company. However, recent reports suggest that The Man is expected to return before the red brand's move to Netflix.

Listed below are five feuds Becky Lynch could return to WWE for.

Liv Morgan is the reigning Women's World Champion, and she captured the title from Becky Lynch at King and Queen of the Ring. Morgan has relied on her Judgment Day stablemates to remain champion, and Lynch could return in the coming weeks to challenge the 30-year-old.

Lynch may return to the promotion ahead of the Survivor Series to begin a rivalry with Morgan on WWE RAW. Big Time Becks could note that she would still be Women's World Champion if not for Dominik Mysterio's involvement in her business.

#4. Lynch could attack WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax

Nia Jax has been dominant as WWE Women's Champion so far and successfully defended the title against Naomi this past Friday night on SmackDown. The Irresistible Force won the Queen of the Ring Tournament in May to earn a title match and defeated Bayley at SummerSlam 2024 to become champion.

Nia infamously busted Lynch open ahead of Survivor Series 2018, which led to the creation of the iconic "The Man" character in WWE. The two stars could reignite their rivalry when Lynch returns, and the 37-year-old may be the star who puts an end to Jax's dominant title reign.

#3. Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus could battle again

Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch had a lengthy rivalry last year, culminating in a Steel Cage Match at WWE Payback 2023. Lynch picked up the victory, and Zoey Stark betrayed Stratus after the match.

Stark debuted on the main roster at Night of Champions last year in Saudi Arabia to help Stratus defeat Lynch. The Hall of Famer returned earlier this year to host Money in the Bank and appeared still in phenomenal shape.

Stratus may be planning on returning to the company for one final run and could square off against Lynch once again.

#2. Becky Lynch could spoil Charlotte Flair's return to WWE

Charlotte Flair has not been able to compete in a match in 2024 due to injury. The former champion tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus on the December 8, 2023, edition of WWE SmackDown during a singles match against Asuka and still has not returned to the ring.

Flair could be getting set to return in the coming weeks, but Becky Lynch may ruin her comeback. The veteran could return as a heel and attack Charlotte during her return promo. The Queen and Lynch have had their issues over the years, and wrestling fans would likely be excited to see them battle once again.

#1. Becky Lynch could confront the inaugural Women's United States Champion

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced the Women's United States Championship earlier this month. A tournament is currently underway on the blue brand to determine the inaugural Women's United States Champion.

Bayley defeated B-Fab and Candice LeRae to advance in the tournament this past Friday night on SmackDown. The finals will take place at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14.

Becky Lynch may decide to finally make her return at Saturday Night's Main Event next month in New York. She could confront the inaugural Women's United States Champion at the event and make it known that she was coming after the title.
