Becky Lynch News: Becky Lynch posts a photo of her recovery process
What’s the story?
While the world of WWE continues on, the SmacDown Women’s Champion updated fans on her recovery from the injuries she suffered last week during the RAW Invasion angle.
In case you didn't know…
If you’ve somehow managed to ignore anything and everything Becky Lynch has done over the past week, then ‘The Man’ suffered a broken nose and concussion during her much-praised RAW Invasion angle last week.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp first reported last Tuesday that Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey was officially off the Survivor Series card.
After the invasion angle ended, the Smackdown Women’s Champion did not travel along with her SmackDown co-stars and was instead checked out by the company’s doctors. It was determined the next day that Lynch would not be cleared to compete in the highly anticipated clash of champions match against Rousey at Survivor Series. As you can imagine, Lynch was crushed when she received the news.
Nia Jax is the culprit behind injuring ‘The Man’ and the company has decided to use the story as a way to put heat on the #1 contender for the RAW Women’s Championship.
The heart of the matter
The Smackdown Women’s Champion was nowhere to be seen on the blue brand on Tuesday, but ‘The Man’ made sure to remind fans that she still exists and is looking forward to kicking some ass when she returns to the WWE:
What’s next?
There’s no word on how long Lynch will be out from in-ring action; however, WWE decided to keep the Smackdown Women’s Title on ‘The Man’ so that’s a strong indication that it shouldn’t be long.
In May 2005, Trish Stratus was sidelined with an injury due to suffering a herniated disc but company officials kept the Women’s Championship on the WWE Hall of Famer ignoring the 30 day rule. Stratus was gone for four months, so it is also possible that company officials have big plans for Lynch and don’t want to take the title off her.
