Becky Lynch's big comeback, injured stable member - 5 female WWE stars who can return from hiatus next
Unfortunately, WWE fans are used to the talented performers they see on-screen suffering injuries. Pro wrestling is a physical industry and both accidents and the combination of wear and tear can lead to unfortunate health complications at some point for most performers.
One star who has been having a tough time is NXT's Nikkita Lyons. The rapper and striker missed nearly a year of action until she returned to the ring at the tail end of 2023. Less than a month later, Nikkita suffered another serious issue.
Thankfully, there is good news. Nikkita returned at a live event held over the weekend featuring stars of NXT. While it isn't yet clear when she'll appear on television, this likely means a return to the weekly program will soon be happening.
There are several other female talent who are away from action currently, either due to an injury, maternity leave, or for some other reason. This article will take a look at five performers who could end up returning next following Lyons' big night.
Below are five female WWE stars who can return from hiatus next.
#5. Dakota Kai's return should be exciting
Dakota Kai is an underrated WWE star. During her time on NXT, she managed to win the NXT Tag Team Titles. She then replicated that success a handful of times on the main roster. Sadly, however, she is yet to find singles success.
Sadly, The Damage CTRL member was injured several weeks ago. Kai suffered an injury to her meniscus, which has an 8-10 week recovery time. If reports are to be believed, many stars backstage felt sympathy for the former WWE Tag Team Champion.
Since the aforementioned reports indicated hope that Kai would be back in time for the Survivor Series Premium Live Event, she could realistically show up any time within the next two months. If she does, Dakota will almost certainly be aligned with her Damage CTRL teammates.
#4. Charlotte Flair will shake things up
Charlotte Flair is one of the most legendary female superstars of all time despite still arguably being in the prime of her career. Flair is a 14-time world champion in WWE and that doesn't even include her time on NXT or tag team gold.
The Queen battled Asuka on SmackDown not long after returning to WWE television. Unfortunately, an errant move on the ropes led to Flair tearing her ACL, meniscus, and MCL. She has been absent ever since.
It isn't clear when Flair can return to the ring, but given her genetic superiority to just about anyone else in wrestling history, Charlotte may show up sooner than fans expect. If she does, Flair could become a top challenger for Nia Jax on SmackDown.
#3. Raquel Rodriguez could make a splash
Raquel Rodriguez is potentially the most powerful female superstar in WWE today. Her incredible strength has led to Raquel winning tag team gold on both NXT and the main roster. She's also a former NXT Women's Champion.
The powerful superstar last competed on the February 26th, 2024 edition of RAW. Both before and after that bout, the former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion had been battling mast cell activation syndrome.
Many expect for Raquel to return to the ring soon, perhaps as part of the ongoing Liv Morgan-Rhea Ripley storyline. If that is the case, she could make her comeback as soon as at Bad Blood next weekend.
#2. Alexa Bliss' return was teased
Alexa Bliss is another accomplished athlete, albeit not to the extent of a Charlotte Flair or the next woman on this list, according to some. Still, Bliss is a former RAW Women's Champion, SmackDown Women's Champion, and WWE Women's Tag Team Champion.
The talented star last competed inside of a WWE ring at the 2023 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. It came out shortly afterwards that The Goddess was pregnant and she has been on maternity leave ever since.
Recently, however, a teaser was included on Monday Night RAW that could signify her impending return. Her doll, known as Lilly, was spotted in the background of a Judgment Day segment. Could she be set to feud with Liv Morgan or even join The Wyatt Sicks?
#1. Becky Lynch could return to WWE
While Charlotte Flair is likely the most decorated female WWE star ever, it may be Becky Lynch who is the biggest name in the history of the women's division. Her rise to the top and immense popularity was unlike anything else any female star experienced before her.
Unfortunately, The Man has been away from WWE for quite some time. She lost the Women's World Championship to Liv Morgan thanks to "accidental" help from Dominik Mysterio. Becky then proceeded to lose a rematch to Morgan inside of a steel cage. After that, Becky walked away from the company.
While Lynch is likely a free agent, it is almost definite that she will return to World Wrestling Entertainment to work with her husband Seth Rollins and friends. The big question is in regards to when Big Time Becks will return. Could The Man return in time for Survivor Series: WarGames, perhaps?
